@EXPLORINGWITHMEDAVE 😆 🤣 I needed a dinghy bro, lol. On a serious note, that was definitely some of the worst flooding I've seen in a long while along the canal, I just hope that nobody's homes got flooded.

Both me and Jess completed the game, I've got to say that this was a game with a fantastic story attached, very well thought out, and put together exponentially well. Although it was challenging at times it was great fun and I loved playing it.

Also I do believe the police station is still very much in use. They have also recently done up the old town hall and are going to do up all of market street and the markets and the train station I believe so it might be worth going back when that is done to see the difference

Yes, I will definitely be visiting Newton again soon. It will be interesting to see the work that's taking place. I look forward to seeing the end result.

@@exploringwithjb if I was you I would wait until the regeneration project is done In earlstown it would be a good contrast to record. If you type in earlstown regeneration on KZbin there should be a short video showing you the plans

A once great industry full of great people it's a shame we have lost our coal mining industry and way of life ⛏️
@Windys21Ай бұрын
I have no idea how this came up on my feed. My brother was one of the loco drivers and my dad was 'a belt mon' at Parkside, just as Roy Dysart was. Dad told us some proper horror stories from his pit days. Gas leaks, were bad. I bet there was more than me dad who saved a fellow miner by just fixing someones mask once they passed out because of the gas. My brother was the last of a 5 generation of coalminers in my family (thats as far has I have got at the moment in the family tree). Nothing more scary than hearing on the news there had been a gas explosions at the pit. When Parkside close there was a lot of coal sat in bunkers that never got used. Plus it caused massive unemployment in the N-L-W area.

Great video. I do a fair bit of exploring around there myself. I was chatting to a local old lady after i had gone down crank caverns & she told be about underground workings going into billinge quarry. Now completely filled in.

Hi mate, yes there are a lot of very interesting sites around there. From the RCC to old mines, including haunted buildings not far away for those interested in the paranormal
