Is that a Winston rod? A TMF maybe?

Actually it's an old (2006) Orivs TLS - their mid-grade rod replaced by the Access and then the Recon. Still a trusty stick!

The Saco is heavily stocked and it is pretty much a put-and-take fishery now. There are still big fish and holdovers to be had in the fly-fishing-only section, but floods in recent years have changed the structure and it is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

Looks like a great day of fishing! If I may ask, what covered bridge is that and do you know of any other great spots on the Saco in North Conway?

I would take out the detailed description of this location, love this river. Don't want to blow it up. But is the ammo biting? Last I was there water was way to low

I think my timing was probably within a week or so of the stocking trucks. I rarely hit more than a few views of my videos so I'm not too worried about word getting out. I plan to hit it up again next summer when I go back home. Thanks for checking out my post.

I only get to SW Wisconsin once every couple years for a few days. West Fork of the Kickapoo is at the top of my list for one of the days.

This is one of my favorite streams. However; Not to be negative but... It's heavily stocked with brookies by New Hampshire Fish and Game. While it does support some wild brookies most the fish are stocked. There are rainbows in there as well, they move in from the river that this stream is a tributary of. It is however a great spot! During a "normal" summer it stays cool enough to fish through August and September and generally receives little pressure after mid July. The last time I fished it there was a massive Caddis hatch and brookies were swirling everywhere. Great video and excellent fish handling! Sadly you don't see that very often in these videos!

Sean, thanks for comments though not sure we're talking about the same stream. NH F&G trout stocking page makes no reference to this piece of water at any time. Tight lines.

@@semperonthefly The red cabin and wooden ATV bridge in the background during the opening seconds are dead giveaways. I recognize many of the pools and the beaver dam. This stream was stocked with 1,800 1 yr+ brook trout in 2017 and was stocked again in 2018.

@@seanflagg3442 Sean: sounds like you have your bearings in & around the north woods. If you're like me, you like to fish places you don't run into others -- I trust we agree to keep this one off the grid. I usually only make it back to NH once a year for a week's worth of fishing. This stream merits one of my days home. TIght lines.
