I'm just a CNA/Med Tech at an ALC. I'm resigning today from my position. As the only black lady on my floors, I can't do anything right. Following the rules is breaking the rules to them. I don't pre pour meds. I get them ready and give them on time (1hr before/after window - unless the resident isn't available). The other med techs pre pour the meds and gives them too early at times.. Which makes my med pass seem late on my shifts. Residents complain that their 9am meds are given to them at 945 vs the other med tech gives them at 730 at times. I just can't anymore as the stress is starting to keep me from sleeping well.

I'm not a nurse but when I did my medic clinicals at one of our hospital ERs, the nurses there were toxic, particularly this one male nurse. I was glad it was just temporary. Many others had that same experience. I wouldn't want to work with people like that. I currently work at an assisted living facility in the US and we are allowed to give meds 1 hour before or 1 hour after the scheduled time. Our care plans get updated every 6 months but it's by an overseeing nurse. I don't wake anybody up unless it's absolutely necessary.

KC, unfortunately you have HIGH STANDARDS in a world in which this is DISAPPEARING. What irritates me are FALSE POLICE REPORTS, bias DA's and JUDGES without a conscience. These people would THROW THEIR MOTHERS "IN JAIL". Sonia Massey incident may have broken the camel's back. I HOPE SO. Our POLICE STATE has to be stopped. People can't be shot "in the back or otherwise" without our citizens SHOOTING BACK!!!

I am a Registered Nurse in Canada, having recently relocated from England less than a year ago. While watching this video, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between the challenges faced by nurses in England and those in Canada. It appears that the toxic atmosphere of witchcraft in nursing transcends borders. Reflecting on my move from Nigeria to England to practice, I recall the constant advice to "protect your license like your life depends on it." Initially, this cautionary phrase puzzled me, but as I encountered various narratives, I realized that safeguarding my license goes beyond simply following protocols and knowing your job; it involves navigating the complexities of human interactions in the workplace. I have been fortunate enough in this my 12yrs of nursing so far, to overcome evil challenges with resilience and unwavering faith. My initial hope for a different experience in Canada has been met with the realization that similar struggles persist. My prayer is that anyone attempting to disrupt my path will not be alive to execute their evil act, for I am shielded by the divine protection of God.

The “witchcraft” part made me laugh but, it’s so true. My sister, I have spoken with nurses all over the world and we all say the same thing. This isn’t specific to a region, it’s specific to the field. There’s a new topic spreading now about the “bully to nurse theory”. It’s a theory that states that a lot of the high school bullies are the ones that end up being nurses . That may explain why things are so catty in this field. Not to mention all the female hormones 😅. Thank you for your comment. There needs to be more awareness on such topics. It has shocked me how many nurses have commented similar things on my video. I knew this was an issue but seeing it RIGHT HERE is crazy. Hopefully something changes. Faith is the key 🔑
