I really don't know how to feel about this ending. I think the story of Max having to deal with someone who has powers makes total sense as a sequel, it's a story that you need a protagonist from the past to really sell well. I'm happy to have more of Max, and that's as someone who got to be very sad with how Chloe was handled repeatedly in this game. More than any of the other games, I ultimately think I can't truly judge this game until its sequel is here, as this basically just ends on a "To be continued..." at the end. It's got potential as a middle part, but if somehow they just didn't make another game then this one would kind of suck despite a strong first half. Not even kidding though, more than any other fan, I feel bad for all the Warren fans. I'm sure he had some, and this game tells you that there is legit no world where Max even stayed his friend. That's rough.

Yeah, for some reason episodes 4 and 5 are shorter than you'd expect; I kind of get the sense that they aimed for five episodes out of tradition more than anything else. I really love that confrontation during Krampus, it's a good moment where everything lines up to take down Lucas. Too bad it all goes sideways right after.

Halligan is an all-timer for the streams. Impressively unlikable at times, consistently entertaining despite what the game wanted you to feel, and inane puzzles. It's all good stuff.

Lots of divergence here for you and I. I told Alderman I'd cooperate with him specifically so that he wouldn't suspect Max and I hoped I'd be able to help Moses, and the game even let's you say as much to Moses but that doesn't go over perfectly, and I didn't send the evidence to Sofi because I went with the logic that Lucas himself is a jerk but he doesn't seem like someone who would hurt his kid. Also, Loretta got that B- because she's why Gwen is mad at me in one timeline so screw her. As for that closer, at this point I had a running theory of where things were going and it still floored me.

Well, it'll be nice to see how the Bay route turns out. I'm already getting the emotional devastation from how the Bae route is addressed. Beyond that, it seems like we were mostly in line beyond hitting it up with Amanda; I didn't want to flirt with a character after like two minutes of knowing her.

Got to say, I'm impressed by how involved the puzzles are. Some might be too much for their own good, but I respect the dev's creativity.
