This worked up beautifully! I had to go down a yarn weight and hook size for my daughter since she’s smaller, and even with my modifications it still came out great! 😂 making another for her friend who loved it! Thanks so much!!!

the part at 9:07 confused me. i had a chain of 141 to begin with and when i finished my second round of single crochets i had ended up with 136 stitches by this end of the row. i am not sure if i’m meant to have an uneven number or an even number here, and why my stitch count has decreased. could you help ?😂

So sorry to all who have been asking this question without a response. I will update my info to reflect this detail. It’s 2mm that I used, here is a link to the exact macrame cord I used for this project: amzn.to/4eYygGM

How many stitches do I do for a large hat

Just a word of warning for anyone following this tutorial... This comes out waaaaaay too big and does not grab onto the head at all, just sits there and you'd have to clip it on for it to stay in your hair and I followed the CHILD instructions with the intention of it being an adult size medium..turned out like an adult XXXL. I will say the tutorial is nice for beginners learning how to do basic stitching.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Just wondering if you used the recommended yarn and hook size? It should not have been a drastic size difference like that. I have made this particular hat countless times & have received multiple positive reviews on Etsy for this pattern. It’s worth double checking the yarn and hook size; this will impact the result big time

@@DIYFromHomeCrochet Sorry I'm so late to this lol but yes I did! I actually tried following it twice and cut the number of rounds in half the second time and it was still just way too big for my preference. It was just a heads up (no pun intended lol) in case anyone is looking for a tighter, slouchy but not excessive, fit. Regardless, your pattern helped me create the perfect slouchie beanie for me and I thank you for that. :)

I’m not sure you could be any more confusing about front loop - back loop

Good evening, I’m sorry for any confusion. Sometimes with a particular project I might move a little quickly however I do offer a playlist that contain a number of different stitch tutorials that focus on 1 stitch only. You can find a front loop tutorial and a back loop tutorial that will go a little slower. It’s for a single crochet but same concept. Here is the link to my stitch tutorial section. Hope that helps: m.kzbin.info/aero/PLnb0h8cm7EMvc8vHYvhh57UVn6jJepjz5

It's a one time use or wash after use every time because when coffee drips on the side the you have a messy situation, cool idea but a bad execution 😅
@DIYFromHomeCrochet
@DIYFromHomeCrochet 4 ай бұрын
very good observation, yes you’re correct - much like the mug you drink from, you would probably want to wash it after use before using it again lol…. this is why it’s a great idea to make many and have them in a drawer perhaps to use a new one & toss the used one in the laundry. I agree with you completely that just 1 could be quite a tedious task. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and hope my response provides a little further insight to this product.

I literally idolize these kind of crotchet tutorial youtubers that take the time to show all the steps in full, since a lot of people just rush through it and don't give you the time to see what you're doing. And the fact that you made a left-handed version is so amazing, it really helped me so much!! ❤❤
