Great stuff! I'm still getting a Tele one of these days. Gotta get a new bass first and maybe hover around some preamp pedals, but I'll have a lotta fun with single coils going through some Tweed sims someday. :D I don't like subscriptions for plugins, just a personal thing. I'm not the best planner when it comes to what' I wanna try out next in sim land, so easy to pay for something and basically let it sit there unused. Also I just like to own/have permanent access to this non-tangible numbers on a hard drive. Rebought a lot of music through the years in digital so I can cancel my music stream services and have the lossless version forever. Still enjoy streaming services for checking out new music/shows but i like to retain a physical or personal copy of whatever it is, assuming I really enjoy it. peace

Also, something I forgot from my prev comment: A power amp only sim. All tube types, a impedance curve selector for some of the most common speakers and loads. It's not a very practical thing with real gear, but having a cranked Soldano preamp into a little EL84 PA under max load would be super cool! Virtual gear, many choices you can't get with physical form. There's a few decent power amp sims out there, but they're all kinda lacking in some ways. Would love to see someone tackle this in a modern way with all the options we need, none of the stuff we don't need.

The Ignite TPA-1 still holds up in this area for the moment. I agree something like this would rock but the problem is, people that want to build signal chains are becoming more scarce.

Darn! Missed the stream. Ah well :D Some awesome amps to model would be: 1. Knucklehead. Most definitely! 2. fuzzHugger fuzz pedals, that would be great. We need more fuzz in plugin land. 3. Bad Cat Lynx. Or the Lichtlerm Audio Prometheus. 4. Some IR's/speaker emulations of more obscure speakers. Seacow Cabps is kinda doing that lately getting some Fane and Weber speakers. Fave plugs of 2024: 1. Wavemind: Distant I just grabbed today, needed it after few mins of playing with the trial. Ecocide for the bass tones, Rev F is a great debut. 2. ML Drums. Last two albums of mine are using ML Drums and it works. Natural but polished drums. 3. Mercurial Ampbox (all the modules). They continue to kick ass. 4. NamU, although that kinda feels like redundant. Still, it's helped me get more comfortable with NAM captures etc. Some honorable mentions are Kazrog, Audiority and STL AmpHub. Also the Aurora DSP stuff ,has been pretty good. Still gotta try out the Digbeth. Some really cool stuf unrelated to sims from Audiothing came out in '24, as well as REAPER itself got some nice updates. Best daw in the world. (also it's not free haha) cheers!

I like to switch up boosts all the time, but the Green Reaper is awesome. All the mods and stuff. Any pedals from WaveMind are bangers, though I just started using them this year so it's still pretty new to me. I get why Thermionik was discontinued, but yeah it kinda sucks. Those were not the most accurate at times, EG pull up Psycho A and compare to AC1992. Very different mid character. So maybe it's a thing of the modeling engine is more "real" sounding. I love those sims though. Airline V15 is the newest Kazrog sim and it's pretty interesting. I'm not a classic rock guy but the tones are superb. Nice doom tones if you use the included pedal. haven't dusted it off in a couple months though, so much new stuff + working on music for enjoyment. Oof lol. I love the chilled and casualness of this channel. No overhyping and no nagging us to sub every ten minutes. I don't think asking for subs is necessary; if people like the channel they'll sub. It's not hard to understand lol. Not sure how asking for subs was ingrained in social networking, but it should be fairly common sense. Man oh man. #MiniRant :P

I am going to see if Shane will send it to us for promotion! You said doom so now I want to find out what's up! Thanks for the props on the channel vibes man! We have never begged for anything here and we won't be starting anytime soon, we prefer the organic growth. That said, we will be doing a lot to push our growth further in 2025 beyond the things we have already been doing. Still fairly organic but you'll be seeing our content popping up in more places.

Yes, we have it narrowed down to the plugin linking OBS and Reaper but the only expert I know on the matter is the busiest man I know. We are definitely looking into it. I don't hear it on my end but I know it's there. I don't want to tackle it half-assed and have it not work because then I can't create at all. Speaking of recto plugs I like, AmpSuite RevF is the king for me. Especially on how dirty and broken things get when pushing the master. There's a lot of amazing rectoish plugs though. Mcuriall and Vtar both have some different and equally usable tones. Even the Kuassa Rectifor is solid when pushed with the right boost and IR. Truesim is free and still sounds great, but CPU might be a thing to watch for when doing big projects. These days, it's hard to find things that flatout suck. lol My fave plugins vary year to year. If/when Kazrog does a recto that'll probably be in heavy rotation for a long time.

The Rev F has upgrades coming that will make it even better!

Hyped up on Protone madness!!!!!! It's good that Wavemind did these pedals. If you're gonna do 1:1 / licensed stuff, WM is one of the few devs I'd trust Agree on OD pedals and settings. Like anything, it's dependent on the amp and guitar and tone you want. I like a bit of drive before the am. Can help thicken up the dist and whatever. Good stuff. Looking forward to the prerecorded demos and such. You've been teasing that for a while brotha :P I always enjoy reading whatever the new plugin advert says. "Real dynamics, clear and punchy tones! AI learning this, AI learning that, nonlinearity and overtones in the sunlight." I want more minimal amp-only or pedal-only plugins. Focus on the circuits, we can handle boost and cabinets. I do understand the awesomeness of a good suite though. At the end of the day it's nitpicking. Signature plugins get treated like any other plugin when I play them. If they suck, they suck regardless of whoever's name is on the product. It goes back to the main thing: If it works for ya, use it.

Hi! I like your plugins! There is a problem with the sound, only a clear channel is heard, overload and gain are not working .I change the amplifiers, but the sound does not change, the other sections are working properly. What should I do? The Steinberg UR 22 sound card.
@theampsimuniverseАй бұрын
I would contact the developer that made the plugin and they will surely help you through some of your technical problems. Sometimes there's a learning curve with this stuff that can seem very frustrating but in reality it might just be one small thing (it usually is). You will get it figured, most companies have great support.

With you on not traveling. It's a pain. I know people who really dig it but I'm not one of 'em. Sure getting to see different areas and people is awesome but the actual flying and the stress it entails .... nah :D The MLC stuff from Bogren is pretty good. Had the OG plug but had to snag that Ampknob ersion since it was free at the time. Still having some drops on the oice/guitar in the stream. Nothing major but it's still doing it. Music remains stable. Yup it's crazy money to go anywhere now lol. Flew across the country back in Sep and still feelin the smoldering pocketbook from that lil adventure. Was still fun though. I don't like the Nameless. The mids and sorta stringiness doesn't vibe with Blackout pops. The Nts or Grano works better in my situation. Or it did at least. Moving away from that stuff and playing with other sims these days
@theampsimuniverse2 ай бұрын
All fair points! Nameless is a very nice one trick pony and I would never use it one two tracks of the same recording. I love to run it on one side with a darker IR and the presence way back. Then on the other side, I will use something more scooped and beefy with the beef rolled back a bit.

I really wanted to keep and love Two Notes Genome as my go to guitar plugin (I am French 😂) but at the end NAM universal has won. For me it has the best Workflow when it comes to load two profiles (Pedal + amp). It is easy to adjust the input level at all modules to respect the dBu criteria which Genome doesn’t allow. In Codex there is only a gain with 6db range (and one global input). The IR loader and stereo functionality are well thought. I tried them all, NAM universal is the one. We can argue that the GUI is not fully optimised, the lack of some features here and there but in my opinion NAM Universal is today the best guitar plugin by far ahead of paying ones.
@theampsimuniverse2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. We never intended to replace anything as much as just adding a really really good free option for NAM lovers. V2 will be a lot of fun as well and it will be priced very low!
@cmd_f52 ай бұрын
Love the fuzz and sagging bloom tones, but ilok is akin to steel wool toilet paper. More problems with it than it's worth :d
@theampsimuniverse2 ай бұрын
iLok is now fully obsolete and I bet they are losing a metric shit load of money right now. I have no problems with iLok, never did, I always understood it and the purpose but the amount of money it costs devs is insanity. When devs have to pay out for even every single NFR license they send out, it doesn't help them or anyone else.
@cmd_f52 ай бұрын
Digging the Diezel tones and rambling fun. There's a Vh2 pack somewhere for NAM and it's gnarly with a grind boost. ALSO does good with crunch with lower gain captures. I'd love another Jackson, I have a Monarch 6 and go back and forth on changing the bridge pup. It's a little sharp, which is cool but could use more lows/body of the instrument. I've been getting by with pre-EQ and such but I like to have the best tone going in first, so thinking about that Deactivator. Used to run that in a shitty Epiphone Jr axe and loved it. Slap huge gauge strings on adjust action and start hammering on it. Have you tried the Audiority British Tanks stuff? The Overseer is a good Governer sim. Clown Core is so badass.
@theampsimuniverse2 ай бұрын
Yessir! I was actually working with Audiority during the development of that series. I had the chance to use them from their alpha no graphic state as they got tweaked to perfection. That company does not have a bad plugin.

Good streamsky. I hear you about the bouncing ball thrash thing. I'm all for unique vocal patterns. Gotta keep it interestin'. :D cheers That new Quantum speaker thing is pretty fun, i picked up the V30 and OG greenback packs and they're fun. Not gonna change my workflow ATM though. To set up a multi-mic situation it's kinda heavy on CPU. That's assuming a fairly heavy NAM setup already with a pedal capture and amp capture, + at least two of these speaker profiles. I quad track probably 80% of what I do, so that's just not an option. lol. Well, not in realtime anyway. I'd have to make stems of the tracks, or track with an IR and then use the speaker profiles when mixing.

awesome! Looking forward to the NAMU v1 and v2 updates. And Spark is still one of my favorite Marshall sims ever. I have been loving NAMU though. There's so much great shit out there and more being made all the time. When you have a chance and wanna fiddle with some profiles not in the NAMU bundle, the 2dor stuff is top tier. His Ceriatone captures are dope and pair perfectly with a Fortin Grind or the Sword boosting it. CRUSHING!! I've been getting more into the Nalex stuffalso. Truesim to be specific. once I get more familiar with the circuit designing I plan on doing a few modded rock/metal sounds for it. Bit heavy on CPU but it's still loads of fun jamming through. Cheers PS: Artists for Marshall. No idea really, but if they got John Petrucci over there.......... now that would be something! lol. On a different note, I'm hoping for more small builders to get some plugs developed properly. Stuff like Ceriatone and Garland Amps would be fantastic. Modded Plexis with their own take on it. There's also a depressing lack of Driftwoods and Dover stuff . A Dover 50 sim would rock. That said there's so much to explore already. I am working on my latest album with mostly free sims but some paid IR's in there, stuff I've had forever and never used earnestly. Speakers has been my main longterm exploration. If you want something different than the usual Ega 412 you gotta try the LCFR150 speaker. Audio assault has a couple IR packs with modern speakers and they're a lotta fun. cheers

Awesome stuff! Just threw a bit of feedback at Chris but overall I'm impressed. Re: fave profiles, I dunno bro. There's lotta good ones. The Randall protube, all the Arlington and Amil Rhobe stuff, etc etc. Plus I have like 300mb of some other stuff i've collected over the past year and pretty much just keep finding good tones. Much, much easier to immerse myself in the tone hunt (see what I did there) using Namu vs the OG plugin. Cheers man! ps: I like the Instigator with some captures that need a little bit of snarl on the top end for the fluffier darker profiles, EG a blockletter 5150. Awesome shaping tool. pps: Gutalax kicks so much ass. Those vox are legendary. Have all their albums and love the Czech grind scene in general. It's full of craziness!
