You never explain why the relationships so unique or why that setting is the best
@raggedoak2 ай бұрын
Hey mate! First off, the video this is pulled from is about pairing the pedal to a craft brew, so I don’t go too in depth on much beyond the sound. Second, I don’t know why, and I don’t think any setting is “the best.” If you want to know more about this pedal, I’d recommend you head to EQD’s website and read their copy on it. Cheers!
@ToneNailer2 ай бұрын
Just buy one and figure that out for yourself. Every time I use it, it becomes more of an intimate experiment between myself, the guitar and amp.

Not good for a workout? Put on “the Wolf” and get hyped on rage and Corona. Kidding aside, this is an excellent record front to back.

This series is great! I’m an independent musician producing my own music, and it can feel a bit overwhelming at times making the decisions on where to take my projects next. In that respect it’s super helpful seeing another artists process. I hadn’t considered sampling ambient sounds for drums before, that’s an awesome idea. Excited for the upcoming videos. Btw, I took up your invitation and just sent over one of my songs, hope you enjoy it! -mourningmodern

Some counter advice for other viewers: -That guitar is affordable, but it's even more affordable to just borrow a guitar from a friend if it's an option. -The base versions of both Cubase and Reaper are cheaper than Logic Pro and they still have more features (and better stock plugins). They're also faster. -Yes two mics is a splurge but both of those recommendations are great for the price. -You don't need a midi controller to write music with midi if you have a functional mouse. -If one had to mix with headphones, those are great headphones to mix with. But mixing with headphones in general is usually frowned upon for a reason, and you can find monitors for the same price. -Notice how he recommends Elements Suite instead of something like Ozone 11; AI and mastering don't mix lol. But tbh you don't even need that. Most DAWs come with everything you need to create a basic master chain for your song. If you're not recording a song that's just acoustic guitar and vocals, you may want/need other instruments and tools. Below I'll list some AMAZING free plugins: Redcurrant, Blacksun - Guitar amp sims Ignite Amps SHB-1 - Bass amp sim Valhalla Supermassive - Probably the best free reverb in existence ML Drums - You can figure that one out. There are also free drum samples all over the internet from real drum kits and real drummers. TripleCheese - Very dreamy synthesizer M-audio provides a ton of free plugins for compression, EQ, etc, but frankly your DAW likely has better stock options. There are also free DAWs. There's a free version of Reaper, there's a free DAW online called BandLab (it's a little jank, but it does work for very basic songwriting). And lastly, everything is free if you're a pirate 🏴☠ Always spend as little as you can when it comes to creating your art, you cannot steal from entities that make their wealth off stolen wages 😄

There definitely are many ways to go about this, I touch on that a lot more in the next video which goes up next week. But it’s all about personal preference and overall simplicity for me in this project. Nice list of free toys, thanks for contributing to the discussion!
