How does the Proxy work to intercept the traffic by acting as a gateway? My understanding is, that we change the /etc/hosts of our machine, so only traffic generated by us are rerouted via the gateway. In a real world scenario that would not change the way how the traffic of the other devices that we want to intercept is routed, or am i understanding it wrong?

Less than 1% of today's access control systems use the Mifare Classic system and have all moved to Mifare DESFire and Mifare Plus which cannot be cracked by a Flipper Zero or even a stock-standard Proxmark3 device. The ONLY way to crack HID iCLASS fobs is with an 'iCopy-X' (which is 375 EUR) along with an attached 'ICS Decoder' to add iCLASS SE/SEOS cracking for another 425 EUR, as 'SR' series iCLASS fobs are almost non-existent nowadays. So, a total of 800 EUR to acquire both devices, which isn't much for a trained and registered locksmith or pen-tester... Remember folks, a Flipper Zero is a pranksters toy and can do very little of any real use/effect to modern security equipment manufactured within the last 10 years. Literally, by the time the Flipper Zero was released, it was already 5-10 years too late to the party to serve as a real hacking tool. Again, 99% of its functionality is pure prankster shit - do not buy one unless you're only seeking to impress some teenagers or your boomer relatives. Almost all of it's 'hacking' capabilities require co-operating from the target.
