Solid play...if you run Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi, you might want to include a big non-effect extra deck monster in your extra deck such that you can use the floating effect. At present you cannot. Include "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" or "Master of Oz", there is still space and they are free cards.

And third, another freaky card which helps you circle DM to the grave and has additional utility is "Imduk the World Chalice Dragon". It is R, so you can make it. Very funny because many people dont read it

@@haulaahmad I am one of the few who did not play Yugioh back in the day (too old for it I guess). Got introduced to it just about 2 years ago and never played anything but Master Duel.

I was around the target age for that show when it came out but never watched it and only got into it this past year do to my kids, we enjoy watching the series, we are almost done GX.

Oh actually, just thinking of this, if you want to sacrifice 30 UR points, go for Baronne yourself. You can summon it with Dark Magician and Ash Blossom. ;-)

@@haulaahmad Thats fine, I dont own that card either, just didnt pull it yet and dont feel like playing what everyone else plays anyway. Its a card for competitive players, I dont see me as such.

Baronne de Fleur is banned in the TCG card game, not in Master Duel. Actually the games are quite different, because Master Duel is best-of-1, and TCG best-of-3 with the possibility to side-deck cards, so a different ban-list is warranted (although the fact that Baronne is here and not there might just be coincidental). The deck looks already very good. Maybe, for more variety, could replace one Illusion of Chaos by one Magician of Chaos (the blue DM). That would also be searchable with the preparations when you already have Illusion or dont need it. It also offers easy popping on the field. Not sure if three Eternal Souls are needed as its searchable, two might be optimal. Maybe add Colossal Fighter to the Extra Deck, you can bring him with Effect Veiler (with DM going to grave) and I believe you should have him as he is in one of the starter decks.

You'd think, it being the same game that the ban list would apply to all forms of yugioh physical and digital. Thanks for complimenting my deck, you're right about adding magician of chaos for the mentioned reasons and also that his name becomes dm on field and in GY. I have 3 eternal soul just so i get a better chance of drawing it or having it in my opening hand, plus it works to my advantage of saving my rod searches for something else also an extra discard for timaeus if i have one already on the field and one in my hand ( same goes for the dark circle). I'll definitely take a look at Colossal Fighter. Thanks for the suggestions.

I think you should leave eternal soul in because like @derliebegott6321 dm is supposed to be in gy and best way to bounce him in and out is with that card and plus if your adding dark magic attack you have a secondary purpose for the card tbh eternal soul is what mainly runs the deck lol

That was already pretty good. Just one obvious improvement would be the extra deck, you should really max out the 15 there. The point of the deck is to rotate Dark Magician as quickly as possible using Eternal Soul in order to get the Banishes in. He should not remain sitting on the field if possible. You can maximize the probability of that by running also suitable XYZ or Synchro Monsters. For example "Ebon Illusion Magician" which is a cheap R card should be in. Because Effect Veiler is a Tuner, you have access to Synchro Lvl 8s; it is not even that important which one, just to have yet another way of putting Dark Magician in the GY for him to return and banish again. If you are playing the fruit girls, Quintet Magician is also worth considering, as the ultimate boss.

I'll definitely consider adding more cards to the extra deck, it is one area id like to improve. i dont know which cards would really help me there, i would like to use spellcaster type to keep up with the theme of the deck, apart from the zombie and rock in there. i'll browse MD to see what is available in R or N cp as my SR and UR are low. quintet seems like a lot of work to summon he need 5 monsters how would i conjure him quickly.

@@haulaahmad You either use "Magicalized Fusion" which you have from the structure deck, this lets you use monsters in the graveyard as well, which is possible after some moves if you have enough of those qualifying girl cards in there. OR you get yourself "Future Fusion" which can guarantee summon him on move your 3 (unless the opponent kills your card). But yeah that guy doesnt come out super-easily. If you do not want to play him -- which is perfectly understandable -- it is probably not worth to play the small girl cards either.

Dont think it is advisable not to have an extra deck at all. It helps a lot, not just because the monsters are good by themselves, but because you can return DM to the grave by fusioning with him, and then again bringing him back with Eternal Soul, possibly including a banish, should you also have the circle on field. It is this full DM loop that makes the deck better. Also no reason to restrict yourself to 6 or 9 cards in the Extra Deck, just fill it up to the whole 15 with whatever could make sense. As you already noticed the Dragon Knight thinggy and the Dark MagicianS are the most usable ones.

Regarding Soul Servant, you need to read the whole paragraph. You draw cards according to the number of unique Dark Magicians, Dark Magician Girls and Palladiums IN THE GRAVE AND FIELDS. If there are none there you dont draw. Putting a DM on top of the deck does not put him in grave or on field. Just shows that you need to get him in the grave as soon as possible.

Well, that went better than one could expect. There are two cards that one sees in every DM Deck for good reason but you are not running...those are Illusion of Chaos and Soul Servant. The first helps you find starter cards like Magicians Souls. It is worded somewhat strangely which is why you probably didnt include it. The second helps you draw cards quicker. Dont want to comment too much on what to take out as you will certainly learn yourself...i mean, Kuriboh is obviously there for lore reasons (maybe one Magikuriboh instead?), Dark Mirror Force is REALLY hard to understand, but ok. Regarding the milling of your deck, you really should not be too afraid of that. This can even be an advantage, for example if they throw a Dark Magician from your deck into your graveyard its actually good for you.

Thanks, I was happy with how that played out. I didnt include illusion of chaos because i dont like the effect of leaving a card on top of my deck after using it, if i use each turn im just going to be drawing a card i put on top of the deck, I'd prefer to have 3 illusion apprentice magician instead to get DM. Lol, youre right kuriboh is there for the lore, like c'mon hes the og hand trap, he can be a "saved by the bell" card in certain turns. Dark mirror force is great to banish cards after I quaking mirror force them. I find lot of decks out there rely on face up defense monsters to run the effects of their decks, I find that a combination of dark and quaking mirror force are good ways to get rid and banish em. This is going to be a trial and error journey for me, Im greatful for the advice you have given me and looking forward to more.

Hehe that was a fun game...Yugioh like in the old days. Anyways, for better chances, you MUST remove all those spells/traps which you are running. As tempting as Raigeki etc. might be: they block you from drawing. The idea is that once you get to draw while under Heart of the Underdog, you draw through your entire deck. That only works when the entire deck is normal monsters. Only Hand Destruction is a possible spell because you can use it in the draw phase and keep on drawing. Even three Watch Cats might be too many, because they too block your draw, as you noticed in the game. Anyways, Dark Magician is a good idea, that was one of my early decks as well. The big advantage is that you only need three of the Vortex of Magic structure decks and that will allow for the construction of a quite competitive deck, for just 1500 gems.

Noted, thank you for your suggestions man I will take them all in consideration. Game two was fun not gonna lie, I kind of wish I played yugioh back in the day. I just posted my dark magician deck video and that is what I did 1500 gems on the vortex decks and made some minor tweaks as they say.

If you want to build an Exodia Deck without a ton of UR cards, the only way that has at least a tiny chance of success is the Heart of the Underdog build. The 5 Exodia pieces, 3 Heart of the Underdog, 3 Hand Destruction, 2 Watch Cat (a card that helps you find Heart of the Underdog) and the rest of the deck must be NORMAL monsters, preferrably with high attack and/or defense (things like Luster Dragon, or Megalosmasher X). I must warn you this will STILL be tough, but in the lower ranks you might be able to win one in five games by getting to Exodia. This deck contains only N and R cards (apart from the SR Exodia head). What you have now will not win one in ten games at best, I believe.

I honestly thought of running a deck with all normal monsters and heart of the underdog as my main way of getting the exodias but chose not to because it didn't feel it would be very efficient, now after reading your comment and finding out there are cards like hand destruction that would help with draw and 2 watch cat to help me find underdog, i feel there could be the right combination of spell/traps to help draw and counter my opponents monsters. I was thinking something like this 5 exodias 15 normal monster (all high atk) 20 mix of traps and spells that destroys monsters and draws cards. the problem i have is i'm to new to yugioh and there are 10,000 cards out there and its hard to find the right one because the yugioh card database website isn't very accurate in helping me find cards through its search engine. master duel has been a bit better in terms of searching for a card i just have to put in a keyword and bam i get a bunch of cards that mention the keyword. also you have been helpful as well, much appreciated.

I like your approach of coming up with own deck ideas instead of copying off strong decks like 99 % of MD-players do. This is actually how the game is supposed to be played. Of course, doing that you will often lose, because those decks are being copied for good reason. Regarding your brave Exodia attempt, this might not really work because it is EXTREMLY slow. As an immediate improvement, take out those terrible Poison Draw Frogs and replace them with "Anchamoufrite". This might appear confusing at first, but it is the way better draw card. It can only be used without an extra deck, but you dont have one anyway.
