The starting price for a medium size vehicle like this is $225.00 for the Headlight Restoration service.

Whatttttt $225? That’s crazy and for a coating that lasts a year which is what I use too for my customers.

@@MichaelBrianIncif you have questions regarding your detailing business I would be glad to assist 👍🏼. These headlights were restored and the client was satisfied. You do know the cost of replacing headlights from the dealership costs more than double this cost right ? Thanks for watching my video. Take care! 😁

@ yes of course haha but nobody in my area here in central fl would pay that high. Even when I quote $130 they look at me like I’m nuts! I do have a question for acquiring more customers. I get mine via door to door bc it’s free, but I need more momentum. My work speaks for itself however I run in to the same objections and when I educate them they don’t budge. So it’s either let’s do it or it’s no and I move on. How can I obtain some dealership work or just increase the volume? Many customers had said they’d tell others but haven’t gotten one call via word of mouth. And before you ask I don’t have social media accounts. Just a Yelp for now and need to figure the video verification stuff for Google page. Over 40 customers so far but it’s been a slow process.

@@MichaelBrianInc referrals are a great way to bring in more qualified clients. However diversifying your brand awareness is necessary. As you mentioned social media and a Google business profile are essential to get your business in front of more potential clients. 5 star reviews are also important to build credibility in the community.

Thanks for watching and the feedback! Corvette paint can often be on the harder side. A more aggressive pad like this wool pad gets great results for harder paint types.

@@southsidedetail yeah man I notice that on harder paint foam pads just don’t cut as much, but microfiber and wool do a better job yet finish out just fine. The softer paints seem to like a foam polishing pad, it cuts pretty good, and finishes out fine. That’s why I tell people you simply never know until you do at least one test spot, from there you can adjust pad and/or product.
@southsidedetail

@@southsidedetail yeah man the rupes yellow medium wool polishing pad I hear is a good one step pad for harder paints, people combine that pad and the yellow DA fine as a jump up from the yellow foam.

Hey man have you ever polished a 2018-2022 Honda Accord? Any particular pad/polish combo that works well? Looking for similar correction like in this video, more of an enhancement/one step, nothing more. I only have an 8mm throw DA, but I do have the Meguiar’s 5 inch bp and their 5 inch foam discs from red cutting to black finishing. I already did a test spot with the yellow foam polishing disc a long with Meguiar’s 166, and it seemed to do a decent job on speed 4 with light pressure. I’m trying to go with the least aggressive method, I also have Meguiar’s ultimate polish and Meguiar’s 06 cleaner wax. I might try ultimate polish next, but I’m curious if you have experience with those years Honda Accord and what has been a good combo in your experience? Mine is a 2018 in still night pearl, similar color like the vehicle in this video, it seems to have a haze particularly on the hood, top, trunk area, the sides, doors, bumpers, fenders aren’t bad at all, I’ve always washed, clayed, waxed my vehicle, but that haze and light staining isn’t coming out with just a wash, clay, seal anymore, looks like I need to step it up to polishing, just wondering if you have any ideas for a good combo? Thanks
@southsidedetail
@southsidedetail 5 ай бұрын
For a one step polish I highly recommend the Rupes DA yellow foam pad and the Rupes DA Fine Polishing Compound. I often get excellent results with that combination. Great cutting and finishing all in one.

@southsidedetail
@southsidedetail 6 ай бұрын
Always start least aggressive method first. Preservation is key, whether if it’s headlights or paint. The end results were a significant difference from the condition they were in before they were restored. If the machine polisher didn’t provide these results then sanding would be the next step. Thanks for watching !

This was a new client. The time all depends on the condition of the car. This interior detail was about 8 hours. Maintenance for interior and exterior can take at least 8 hours as well. All depends on the condition. New clients can take longer. Many variables to account for. Every car is different.
