As an ex firefighter, I feel that was all wrong, they look like a volunteer squad.

I don’t understand. Is there some rule, regulation or policy that prevents firefighters from starting to put water on a fire before they’ve been on the scene at least ten minutes? Just wondering…

Looks like no one is in command! Everyone is doing whatever. What looks like a car fire turned into a hit-and-run really fast! I noticed also the equipment doesn't work well. Just how long does it take to get water going? The fire turned into a great lose because of untrained and attitude toward quickness. The guy with the garden hose did more than all the firemen put together! The destruction of the house was hard to watch with all the bodies roaming around doing nothing!

I am familiar with atleast volunteer fire services and there is a serious lack of urgency here! And i commented too soon these guys need much more training!

I can’t believe that these firefighters were not able to put out the fire… because they should been able to put it out fast enough, but I guess not!!! On Sunday August 9th 2015… me and my stepdad was driving pass my grandparents house and I knew that something wasn’t right, plus I told my stepdad that I think my grandparents garage is on fire and he didn’t believe me until we turned around and went back!!! My grandparents garage caught fire, but they were lucky enough that their garage was not attached to their house!!! I was the one that noticed smoke coming from their garage and after we returned… I knocked on my grandparents window and screamed “there’s smoke coming from your garage” and they look out their back window in the kitchen or the side window of the kitchen and saw the smoke!!! Unknown to them… they didn’t know that their garage was on fire and we found out that their car started the fire… plus I was the one that called 911!!! The firefighters showed up and had the fire out in no time… the whole garage was destroyed and there was nothing left of it!!! I lost 2 items in that fire… I had a huge plastic container full of glass cups with some of them having characters on them like Garfield and others, plus a huge container full of old K-NEX pieces inside it!!! My brother is a volunteer Firefighter!!! Sadly at the end of January of 2016… my grandfather passed away from cancer!!!

Obviously, the truck company forgot what their job was. What a painful debacle of ineptitude. I can't believe the absolutely abysmal tactics of these crews. Volunteers could do a better job.

Felt like I was watching my favorite hockey team lose. 🇨🇦 Over here yelling at the screen- 1st period- "What? No!" Ensure your exit boys! Prop that door! Oh ok its ohh k phew. Another player checke...WHAT in the ever frackin ice balls are you guys doing?! Look up! Use your eyes! Only one metal frame left on that garage door!" Later just before first period ends. "Oh COME on GUYS! Just frickin cut that last piece and the whole door can be removed" (Commentary on lack of prep before garage door was opened has been cut due to excessive foul language) And as the flames make their move against our guys in the 2nd period- "You're killin' me!" "You're killin me you guys are kiiiilllin....Oh damn it! And there it is. 3rd period- That's it game over! The flames have won!" "Noooo!" "HON! They lost us the game!" Leaving the building- Where the hell are my comfort donuts!? We need to send this whole team back down to the minors." 🤔

I've seen some pretty bad operations in my 40 years as a firefighter, both career and volunteer and served from Probie to Chief of the Department and this scene would rate in the top 10 of clusterfucks I've seen! And I'll admit that I've caused a few clusterfucks myself, but did learn valuable lessons from them and used my mistakes to teach others what not to do.

My husband watched this and was so upset at the way the entire video showed no training. How many went inside and could not advance because of the storm door. Had a 1/1/2 line for the garage long after two firefighters had no plan on how to cut the door. No one in charge. Took how long to get the 2nd line charged. What was the crew doing inside the entire time. My thought was pulling down every inch of drywall and never going after the fire. No vent over the garage. What an absolute mess from a great town and lots of nice equipment. All is such a wast if you don't know what you are doing. No 360, just straight into the home with 4-5 FF and no plan for the garage. Re-group and train until it is a well oiled machine. Look at Phoenix, most out of CA. just do it so well. It took training and not having your helmet fall off while on the ladder. No one at the bottom of the ladder. I have to stop. Train your people so everyone goes home at night. You got lucky on this one.
