How tall is the inside of your trailer? 6’6” or 7’? Thanks

At least you didn’t by a PJ because their paint is terrible. Major rust problems with PJ. Those rust streaks you are complaining about are coming from the unpainted areas where the steel overlaps at the joints. It would happen with any brand of painted trailer. The only solution would be to buy a hot dipped galvanized trailer. They make them.

Cam warranty is for 3years workmanship and material. haven’t even hauled anything yet. Know there blow smoke up my Ass. I just got a Cam Dump trailer, June 28th. Big gaps around both sides and bottom of tailgate. My sales guy talked to Theil at Cam manufacturing he said big gaps has to be there for opening and closing the tailgate. Cam spokesman is full of Shit. The tail had to much heat when welding it causing it to warp. Bottom of tailgate has a 3/8” gap. Inside of tailgate were dump body floor meets 1/4” gap on both side then the middle section of tailgate is 3/16”. I’m just worried that material I’m hauling will cause damage to other vehicles following me. Pennsylvania D.O.T. call this a shifting load and I don’t want to get a Driving Award$$ that’s Trucker talk. I’m a Retired Dump truck Onwer/Operator, Kenworth W900 with a Mac 39’ frameless trailer.

Great video! Guard that trailer, it will attract thieves like crack cocaine. Unless you have a rider policy your insurance will not cover the contents. A friend of mine lost almost every tool he had in a trailer theft. They took it from his driveway after they punctured the tires on his two vehicles, it was found damaged three days later completely empty.

Do you have a power source aside from the truck's power? Generator? If so, where did you hide it? You mention hardwiring, hardwiring to what source? Great build! I'm in no way trying to be negative or disrespectful, just curious! Thanks!
@chriscont01

Hey man thanks for the comment! So we only use truck power to power up all the lighting inside. We have an outlet on the front of the trailer that we can plug-in when we’re on site using 120 V that power is up a couple receptacles in there that are hardwired into my compressor and we are currently putting some 120 V lighting in also. We don’t do much new construction so we almost always have power on site so it’s really not something I worry too much about. I keep saying I’m gonna make a new video but we’ve been so busy this summer I’m gonna try to have some downtime in the next few days and get a really good video more in depth let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to talk about about the trailer.

That's awesome man thanks for the info. I don't do much new construction either but there has been a time when a homeowner didn't want me to plug in a single DeWalt battery charger and "increasing" their electric bill lol. Also, while building fences, I've found myself wishing I had a small generator or had a 120v receptacle wired to truck power mostly because I didn't feel like running 300ft of extension cord from the house. Keep doing what you're doing man, you're an inspiration to us all! In your next video maybe you could go a little more in depth on the electrical stuff in your trailer! Thanks

Good video man, I bought a cam 19ft split deck to haul a bobcat e50 mini ex. The trailer and machine where bought as a package at bobcat, i had a blowout with less than 700 miles on trailer and another tire had a bubble in it but hasn't popped yet. Needless to say after researching the FALSE ADVERTISING BY CAMLINE, I find out the junky load range E tires (the single tire weight rating) is 3520lbs x4 is 14080 total, then subtract 15 percent tongue weight of the 3500lb trailer is around 3000lb of trailer weight loading on tires. SO THIS IS KEY 14080 IS MAX TIRE WEIGHT RATING MINUS 3000 TRAILER WEIGHT = 11080 IN MY MATH BUT TRAILER INFO CARD DISPLAYED ON TRAILER SAYS TRAILER CAN PAYLOAD 12600 AND THERE ADVERTISING SPEC BROCHURE I GOT WHEN I BOUGHT ALSO SAYS THIS, THATS --------FALSE ADVERTISING-------- the trailer with load range E cannot do the advertised weight, IF YOU changed tires to load range H or some load range G tires then all numbers add up and u can PAYLOAD specified amount of 12600. I called CAMLINE today to see if they would replace the tires to the property H rating tires they said they WONT and the load E meets national standards, to get 4 tires retail for me is 700 bucks camlines cost maybe 400 and they said not getting tires, SO if I was u looking to buy CAMLINE STER CLEAR OF THE JUNK AND GET A BETTER TRAILER

Dude I’m getting so much hate on this video but it’s truth we’ve compared my dump trailer to one that was three years older and the corners they are starting to cut is unbelievable.
@stupidthoughts2921
@stupidthoughts2921 2 жыл бұрын
@@chriscont01 Man don't worry about the hate, keep it real and truthfull as u are and as I have been, if they can't handle the truth let em buy junk with there money, I'm not a fan boy of any make, model, or specific companies but when I spend my hard earned money on a product( which that company says is the best or rate to do this or handle that, etc ) I expect that product to do so, CAMLINEs ethics and their products are heading down hill. I did price check on 4 tires, E rated and 4 tires H rated the difference was $30- 35 per tire. So 35x4= 140 bucks. If CAMLINE had the right ethics and philosophy and put better rated tires on there trailers at only $140 difference per trailer for 4 upgraded tires from the get go, they wouldn't have unhappy customers as far as flats and blow outs, guarantee u if it was my Company, some heads would roll for the crappie quality.

I think you added so much weight with the plywood and shrink the interior so much, that it hinders the use of the trailer.
@chriscont01
@chriscont01 2 жыл бұрын
The weights actually not that bad. I used a lot of half-inch where I could , also by using the Milwaukee pack out drawers instead of making wooden drawers or buying metal drawers I figure I easily saved myself a few hundred pounds so that was a huge weight saving decision. I’m also able to carry less crap around because I’m so much more organized I can see my inventory pull things when I know I don’t need them add things when I get on need them. So far trailer has handled it fine and The time it saves me is worth it. This is what I consider more of a job site trailer we move it from site to site and try not to tell it on a daily basis. We are usually on our jobs for three weeks average.
