Thank you for sharing! I am trying the hardest to calculate how many flowers I need for the wedding and what to mix together flowers wise. I’m going for similar colors as you, but I only have 1 matron of honor 2 bridesmaids 10 tables I want to put baby’s breathe and eucalyptus on, a backdrop for the sweetheart table and the sweetheart table itself. I’ve tried to write down what I need so many times. 😅
@cindysiebert14608 ай бұрын
This video is so helpful, thank you! When did you assemble the table vases? Did you do them the night before then transport them with water in vases or did you assemble them at the venue? If at the venue, did you have others doing that for you so you could enjoy getting ready, etc?

I just found your video and I love it. My daughter wants to do her own flowers as well and Costco was right at the top of the list. There is such a huge variety of flowers and I think it’s a fantastic idea. Makes the wedding a little more personal I think to do things yourself. I know not everyone has the luxury of time but for something that is as important as a wedding…any budget can be beautiful with a personal touch!❤

hi!! I really winged it but I roasted 1 whole butternut squash with olive oil, hot honey, cinnamon, paprika, a few cloves of garlic, salt, pepper Roast at 400 until soft and golden (about 40 minutes) Blend that all together to make the filling Pasta is 300g of 00 flour with 3 eggs, a drop of olive oil and a pinch of salt hope that helps 🤍🤍🤍

I thought the same thing. I bought Costco flowers to do a practice bouquet for my wedding in September. When I called to get quotes for the bouquets and arrangements. My instant thought was absolutely not. I will make it myself. I didn’t know you can preorder the flowers online. Thank you for the helpful tip. About to head to the website now to order.

I don't see how that would be 10k...so the pinterest ideas must have included higher dollar flowers (dahlias, hydrangeas etc) and an arch/installation. For those DIY brides out there watching this video, consider contacting a local grower too. I grow flowers locally and sell DIY packages. It is one way to get some of those higher dollar blooms, if they are in season. You would be amazed at some of the flowers you can source locally. 🙂

You could just search local flower farmers and buy fresh long lasting not flown flowers.

We are thinking of doing this for my daughters wedding in September. I note you made the bouquets the night before. Did you put them in water at that point until the ceremony the next day? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks’
@dawno9007 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. Thought I might be able to help you out. We did all fresh diy floral for my daughter's wedding. You do have to put the bouquets in water. When you get the flowers you should immediately cut about an inch off to open up the stem to receive more water and remove leaves so they do not get into the water (they can introduce bacteria) so no leaves in the water. Roses... Remove all leaves. Anything that has wrapping on it leave the wrapping on and let hydrate for an hour then remove wrapping (this keeps the flower heads straight and able to drink). Let them continue to hydrate for 24 hours. The next day assemble your bouquets. You can just leave them in an inch of water or enough so that the ribbon isn't getting wet. The next day (event day) take the entire vase w bouquets to the venue. Keep in vase until the last minute. After pictures, put bouquets back in the vase with water.

Hi! We are looking into doing our own flowers for our wedding in June 2024 and some of these flowers are no longer available on the site. Did you notice if this is dependent on the time of year/stock available when you were making your plans?

hi! congrats🤍 i can’t say for sure but it’s super possible that stock changes depending on time of year / what’s in season - i hope everything you’re looking for comes back!! xo
