I have the heavy duty bench press. The electric circle cutter and the monster heavy duty electric button maker. I made a video of it years ago. With The electric button maker you can only use BAM parts or it won't work. The problem with that is their parts are VERY EXPENSIVE compared to the generic parts you can buy.

I have this machine and it will ONLY work with badge a minit button parts which are so much more expensive then other button parts.

They don't make it anymore. Mone just stopped working. It just started messing up some of the buttons. It's too risky

I've been doing professional buttons for the last 40 years ... I started with that Badge-A-Minit hand press you have and at least 30% of the buttons fail ...then I moved up to their professional big bench press models and at least 50 % of those are unsaleable ... I spent a lot of money on that junk over the years and wouldn't use one of them again if you paid me to do so ....

Aloha Michael, I inherited a badge a minit button maker from someone and itʻs been in my closet for years. Itʻs the model thatʻs super heavy and sells for like $400 on ebay. Itʻs for the 2 1/4 buttons. Iʻm a. teacher and want to offer itʻs services to school fundraisers etc, for a very nominal rental rate and they would have to buy the buttons. Ii donʻt have any of the pins, accessories etc, yet iʻm willing to buy some to learn how to make a button and show them to the teachers on teacher institute day etc. Iʻm wondering shall I start learning how to make the printed artwork for the circles and have some ready to show them. I may eventually want to get some at-risk kids to learn how to make them and sell them - just to teach them some entrepreneurial skills. I teach in a rural country on Oʻahu where poverty is high and all they have are their bikes, the ocean and mountains to explore - (yes, that is wealth indeed) however, many get caught up in drugs, abusive, unhealthy behaviors and end up moving out of state since the cost of living is so high in Hawaiʻi, a very sad move since they leave their culture and tight community behind. Any suggestions, advice? Mahalo for your generosity in sharing your ideas.

I have this same button maker and I follow the instructions it came with completely but every time I finish the process, the back falls off. I am not sure what I could be doing wrong.

I have a problem with the plastic round not getting caught all the way around with the back. 😡 I’ve ruined so many buttons. I’ve even used a dryer to try and melt the plastic some.
