I don't see much difference between low and standard in my own use cases so am guessing not much digital stabilization in either if at all compared to high which crops in. My own rule of thumb is to use the least aggressive IS I can get away with and haven't gone past low but best to test how you might use it and determine any worthwhile difference

I think they work well for that (especially if mics aren't too far) but I don't have experience with many competing mics; once I found these, didn't feel a need to try others for my amateur use. I do have a few large condensers though that I slightly prefer for strictly voiceover or vocals and in a multiple mic setup, dynamics close to subjects do work well

I have both. MKE600 less sensitive, slightly less directional but sounds more natural and has almost zero interference for electronic devices.

Sennheiser just stopped making them recently, so you'd now have to buy them used. Bought mine probably 30 years ago and they still work like new.

Hey, a o_0 MAJOR UPDATE FOLKS ! Oh & this one's longer, but worth it to read ! Found out something important ! So.....We / this person & now you all, discovered something, about the rods after reading, cos, the rods do rust if left around anywhere with high water like content, such as outdoors with rain or beach environments with higher moisture in the air content, & Ours just rusted from high moisture environment effects, due to being around those high moisture environments, it can rust if put out in the rain as well, that is common sense to me, best to say that keeping it dry is advised for no rust, because I'm discovering it's high iron / steel content metal with a low outer base content of Satin Nickel components, to make it look shiney on the outer base of the rod / pip & thus, more likely to be seen & bought ;) ahh" now we know !
