It may just be clogged. Try using vinegar to get out any calcium deposits.

Mine is all but used beyond repair. The plastic has lost all of its plasticizers and is brittle. The inside is half 2-part epoxy repair. The handle is a wiffle-ball bat. I have bought and returned several of their newer products of similar design to try to have a device with a decade less age... They've all been weak light garbage that do nothing therapeutic. The question becomes whether it not to buy a used one that may be in better shape but still as old and brittle.
