As a Tesla owner, I can tell Ford is really trying to cut costs for competition. I really wish Ford and Tesla could team up, because Tesla software is #1, and Ford trucks are way more practical and normal vs a Cyber Truck. I'm thinking about either selling / giving my Model Y Performance to my wife and purchasing a Ford Lightning Platinum. I really could use a truck bed, but trying to see where prices go in terms of the EV truck competition.

the lightning is the best looking and most reliable EV truck, but I think ford should have at least upgraded the slow charging speed. 150kw charging is too slow for a 2025 vehicle.

The dealership makes a percentage of your monthly note if the bank finances the truck for 6% and you finance with the finance manager or department the will add on 2% plus upsell you on extended care loss key prevention and all that other garbage so they can give it to you for dealer cost , the salesperson gets that “extra”

Ford now accounts for $7500 tax credit and raised the price in relation to the extra funds. Given the F150 lighting use to start at 40k and now starts at 50k with delivery it reduces the value. Other manufactures are doing the same but for 68K after the rebate you can get the Silverado ev with 450 miles. Unless you need the extra interior features under 100k but your still paying for the extended battery, your probably better off going chevy.

Right! They are making sure you cannot customize the vehicle to truly get the best bang for your buck. Going up a trim usually consists of getting one feature you wanted and numerous features you could care less about, but you still have to pay for it. It truly is unfortunate. I do have consulting experience in supply chain, so I absolutely understand and agree from a business perspective, but from a customer perspective it sucks. It's why I laugh when companies swear they put the customers first.

@@CarTrimsprobably the best aftermarket seats when converting from cloth to leather, including many designs to chose from. Expect to pay $2k-$3k to outfit your car to all leather. Option to add heated seats as well. Their customer service seems to be receptive and on point if you have questions or interest. Disclaimer - I have not purchased but friends have and are content with fit and finish.

I think when spending money on a car like this. MPG shouldn’t be a concern. As for the ride quality, Sinces it’s an electronic air ride suspension it can probably be refined through on the air updates.

@@deadbot61 I 100 percent agree with both statements. I just know a lot of full size suv guys and ladies love a nice v8, so to give us a smaller engine, the least they could do is make it more fuel efficient. Is it a big deal? Nope!

@@deadbot61 I also contacted my local Infiniti branch to get test drive this weekend to see if we’ve already seen improvements in the suspension. I think we will definitely see improvements, especially since the negative feedback was on the preproduction model. Any cars you want to see next in the meantime?

Stop doing battery cars and trucks. They are damaging for the environment and wastes a lot of energy! It is not a good value considering once the batteries die out, the truck is basically worthless !!!

@@LWRC my goal is to have something for everyone. I’ll try to not be biased based on the cars I choose. Today, I am dropping a review on the Chevy Silverado 1500 zr2 bison edition. I’ll definitely do much more gas powered vehicles than Evs going forward.

@@CarTrims It's all good. You can do what your heart desires as it is your channel. I'm just voicing my opinion that these battery cars being shoved down everyone's throats is out of control. The federal government is forcing this issue via the EPA setting insane emission standards that no car manufacturer can meet and they are forced to buy carbon credits from Tesla! This costs legacy car makers hundreds of millions each quarter and Tesla gets free money for doing exactly nothing! This insanity is hurting this country and has got to stop. People need to tell the government to stay out of the private sector and not buy any of these battery cars!!!
