Yes the 30-point handicap was just too big to overcome. Lots of learnings for everyone for sure. It's a miracle that the team was even able to compete!

No. Matagal na silang nagcocompete. Ever since I started watching all-girl cheer like NCC and WNCAA , ang lakas nila sa tumblings and stunts. I do agree that this run is not the cleanest, but this is a good start. I hope that this experience will push SPCP to challenge themselves to execute new and more difficult stunts. As someone who has been watching this team since 2013, the routines are getting repetitive na. We need something fresh and we need to be back in the podium. 9 years na since our last medal. Congratulations team Pilipinas and SPCP Pep Varsity.

Thank you for these comments! The Team is in transition right now with a few members graduating and at least 10 new members moving up from the GS Pep Varsity team. The HS Pep Varsity Team will also be going with a new coach for the next tournament season after 18+ years with Coach Ramon.

Oh wow. If I may ask, who’s going to be the new coach? I am looking forward to SPCP Pep Varsity’s growth and development. I am definitely excited for their WNCAA routine. I stan these girls, idol ko kayo, and mas malayo pa ang mararating ninyo.

That's pretty much the backstory. This team still showed grit and determination even though they knew the odds were stacked against them. Hope other commenters realize that. Even with that penalty handicap during semis they still advanced to the finals, which was a miracle tbh as there were 12 teams competing AFAIK.

Yes they did and the show must go on despite the penalties. If I’m not mistaken the parents/relatives of the girls funded them to join the ICU which is a huge representation already for the country and I salute everyone who have helped the girls compete. The cheer world is excited for what’s next for SPCP and next year will be all out for the podium. Let’s go!

They're from St. Paul College Pasig HS Pep Varsity, 2023 National Cheerleading Champions. This All Girl Elite team got Coach Randell from FEU (UAAP 2023 cheerdance champions) to lead the team. This group is actually not the Philippines’ best in Cheer Leading. They are only the best team who are members of this Federation. Try watching the cheer leading teams in UAAP. They have the best cheer leading teams the Philippines can offer.
