The cycling unions are such shameless hypocritical sociopaths. They would much rather single out a scapegoat and put the blame squarely on that individual than they would allow the systematic filthiness and corruption which entirely permeate their corporations to be uncovered.

This is the saddest moment in modern cycling. Just let him finish the race then worry about things later. He never rode in a professional race again.

No sorry he is a lying piece of shit loser. He wasn't like all other dopers. He was an icon lifted by the people, shining example of hope and overcoming cancer. He threatened people and ruined their carriers over the doping exposure. He held out like a snake and back stabbed legends like greg Lamond. Lance is a piece of shit end of story.

Lance the reason why America even cares about cycling still to this day.

Total BS! He's the reason cycling has declined so much and pro contract lengths have decreased for fear of doping.
@geoffreyfaltot10063 ай бұрын
@@creativity.studio4967 Not a fan of the guy anymore. IF it declined in America, it's because he got it high enough to even have a decline...Average person on the street still names Lance as the cyclist of America. He made it kinda cool, brought the limelight. And it kinda died with him too.

Starting from 7:01 to 7:27 even Lemond knew that even he could not keep up with the EPO rage. Notice what he said here 45 km/hr avg was already pushing the envelope and then the 50km hr hit and that was enough for him.

The only American winner of the TDF. Enough said. I watched all 3 of his TDF victories on television and the fact that he had to retire because he couldn't keep up with the blokes doping was disgusting. My favourite cyclist ever.

Everyone was juicing back then, so I don't see how that was cheating if everyone did it.
The fact he lied about not taking enhancements is the reason I’m fine with him being punished. But, it’s clear the critics and organizations had it in for him stronger than was fair. All the elite racers were doing the blood doping in that era and everyone, on the neutral side, agree that 100 percent he brought millions into the biking industry. He brought even more popularity to the tour, made trek what it is and it’s still going strong. There’s wide speculation that Armstrongs greatest critic, lemond, also cheated.

Lemond rode for French teams that doped their riders, whom he beat, and he was the only clean rider? In mid 1989, Greg was getting dropped on climbs by sprinters, then overnight is suddenly a world beater. He magically recovered from an iron deficiency and low hermatocrit to come from pondering retirement to winning the tour and worlds, beating confessed dopers. The only way to,achieve such a transformation in 1989 is EPO.
