Great video and content. Your explanations are clear and well thought out. Can’t wait to buy mine next year. I have some ideas and small modifications I may want to do. I’m just curious why the geyser was placed at the front but wash up taps are at the back. Thus maybe wasting water when waiting for hot water but I’ll see when I get mine one day.

@roarman75, the water is quick to get to the taps on the rear. But what we suggest is to draw water into your rinse basin till the water warms up, then fill the warm water basin for wash up. Then not too much waste. The front of the Bush Lapa's have the least vibration. So the safest place for the geyser.

@gavinsmith28 the bed takes the same time it will take to set up the fold out tent part of the ratel 4. So not really more of a mission. It is not as quick as the fixed bed models like the Baobab 3is or Baobab 2, as you are making up the bed is this unit.

@denmonkey thanks for your comment, keep in mind this is an in depth setup video, so we do a lot of talking. Set up time for the basic unit is around 15 minutes, if you don't talk a lot.

Thanks for the reply and watching the video. When overlanding one does not have to open the awning. Then camp set up is as quick as a rooftop, pop open the roof bed stays made up, get in a sleep. You just don't have to climb up a ladder.

In my opinion...the shower should stay outside, the "shower curtain " is too low and most women won't use the shower. You will struggle to shower without all of the surroundings getting wet. Will soap on the canvas not make it less waterproof. I would prefer not to go through all the trouble setting up the table. May as well sit in comfort outside underneath the awning and keep your bed made up.

I totally agree ... as I said in my comments above use the shower area for a thetford 263 toilet. Often wondered why caravan makers cannot make a proper cassette toilet without a shower. I also feel that whilst BL make the best intuitive videos a basic price of the vans with a subject to makes life a lot easier to do the research

No arguing that this is a great piece of kit. I found a 2019 Ratel in Autotrader for R439,900 That is the same money for a similar year VW Transporter. When I stop at camp in my LWB 4Motion Transporter, I swivel the passenger seat around, take out my table and two chairs and pour us a drink. Sometimes I go the extra trouble and open the EasyAwn, or pitch the gazebo.

@Deontjie thanks for the comment. We get what you are saying about the VW Transporter. It is a great solution for your style of camping. As they say different strokes for different folks, this is especially true when camping. Some prefer the camper solution some a caravan. We say get out, camp and enjoy. Any way you can.

On opening and closing these mangles of the caravan requires a labour of love... Gheezzz... it could take a whole day just to that. ? 😮 So after each opening and closing operation I'll just have to sit down and have drink. What with all the opening a closing...It makes me dizzy to think about. Thereafter I will have to just Open up a Klippies and Coke and not close with it😊😅😂. Thanks anyways for the Demo. 😊

@goodbarbenie5477 fair point. These units are actually really quick to set up. Most of our units can be set up in under 15 minutes. There is plenty time to have a drink in the 15 minutes.

I find it very difficult to move the mattress around and into position in the Kewer, very heavy and an extremely tight fit, has anybody had their mattress modified in order to make it easier. I am 70 years old so for not have youth on my side. Thanks

@redinza for sure we did, multiplus + - wire is 95mm2, charge cable from vehicle 16mm2 as per Victron specifications.
