After knowing his former life, I can say that his Blue Eyes cards are literally alive. I mean, his servant (?) has the Blue Eyes White Dragon spirit thingy back in Ancient Egypt. I won’t be surprised if her spirit lives on till today I still remember VIVIDLY how he draw a card to throw it and free Mokuba and Blue Eyes decided to serve him then and there

I like to think this moment is the reason Kaiba was able to summon Obelisk from nothing in the Dimensions movie. Like, by sacrificing him here, Kaiba earned Obelisks respect
