IMO toner is one of those products that you can just skip. The ph balancing thing is a complete myth from back in the day. The skin's ph rapidly re-balances itself regardless of anything you do to it. 99% of facial cleansers sold now days are already ph balanced and don't alter the skin's ph anyway. If you're using an acid cleanser (salicylic acid or glycolic), those will slightly drop the ph of the skin for about 30 minutes and then your skin goes back to normal. (Tip: using an acid cleanser before vitamin C is a good way to get the vitamin C deeper into the skin via lower ph!). I digress lol
