There’s a full length build video on the channel showing the entire creation if you’re interesting, and a second video whee I transform it into a tarmac version. 😁

Man! What a video! Initially, I thought let me put something interesting to play in the background while I was unboxing a long-awaited item. My plan didn't last long 😂. I had to stop what I was doing to fully pay attention to the video. Thanks again 🙏 Both, the design and the explanation of it, are incredible. This is one of the rare channels where you are sure when the author says you won't regret what is coming next.

Greebling is just a general sci-fi term. I think George Lucas made it up iirc
@brickman1175Күн бұрын
This is why I love the comments section and always read every one, I had no idea. I just Googled it and sure enough Wikipedia confirms it, a term coined by George Lucas in the 70s to describe small parts added to a model as detail elements. Thank you, every day’s a school day 😁

Fair comment, it might look different to you once the tail has been created. This will lengthen the ship which by rights should make it look narrower to the eye.

One day Chris, there is going to be a Museum for either Halo or Mega Halo or maybe even both. And there will be constant requests to display everything you build.
@VixiDixi2 күн бұрын
super cool there is nothing i can even try to say thats bad about this. this is beautiful even if it aint quite done yet you can definitely already see it. this is amazing. i think i was gonna say something like how it could be some early version of a spirit never encountered by human forces but i think any lore you wish to make for it. you should do. even then its a nice blend of the CE spirit and reach spirit. 10/10 build
@brickman1175Күн бұрын
Thank you, I’m really pleased you decided to leave this comment. As happy as I am with the build so far I am slightly frustrated by my inability to just stick to one version of the spirit. At one point I started having doubts about my decision to just build it ‘my way’ as I feel guilty for not being true to one version of the ship, but then I remind myself it’s just for fun and it doesn’t really matter. I’ll leave the being true to source material problems to MEGA when they hopefully one day give us an official one.

I’ve always said this is what holds MEGA back from playing on the same field as LEGO. Without a way for people to easily purchase pieces to create custom builds from they will never expand to a larger audience. The custom Lego building community is what inspires 1000s of young children to join the LEGO community, they then grow into the future community. MEGA has no real entry level community to draw children to the brand, yes they have Pokémon but outside of building the set there is no real community for them to stream into.

Im more of a LEGO guy myself, but im assuming ive been recommended this channel thanks to LEGO and me replaying Halo and enjoying video content on it lately. Just wanted to say, what a wonderful collection! I've always been curious on MEGA thanks to its Halo line, watching this has made me think about looking into seeing what I could get my hands on! In regards to the massive pelican, would it fit well on a PAX unit from Ikea?
@brickman1175Күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, I too was more of a Lego guy until I was introduced to MEGA Halo back in 2010 by way of a Christmas present from my wife. I’d never heard of MEGA prior to this but as a life long HALO nut she I’d like some Halo ‘Lego’ so she got me the 2010 arctic rocket hog set as a gift. You can see what that triggered 😂, she may regret giving me that Warthog in hindsight 😁.

@brickman1175Күн бұрын
It’s a shame they will likely never build UNSC weapons due to the realism issues as they lend themselves better to a brick built system than the covenant weapons styling does. At some point I’ll creat the CE Magnum and an Assault Rifle.
