just bought son 04 gmc sierra rockers shot but it has like 2 layers of inner rockers? one attaches to cross members other is like an inch parallel to that... i thought there was just one inner? like my 05 duramax seems like one inner but rockers arent bad enough to tell

You could have saved time by just cutting the spot welds holding the inner rocker on and than replacing the entire thing rather than splitting it in half. Good timing though it takes me two days to completely replace one side inner and outer and that does not include finishing with fiberglass and finish. Keep it up.

You did not address what you did at the rear of the outer rocker panel where the replacement is shaped incorrectly. You can see it at 12:17 in your video. How did you address the huge gap before welding the cab corner on?

The right tools always make the job easier. I understand you can't buy every tool, but a set of seam splitters for 30 bucks would have saved you a ton of frustration. Straightening sheet metal after you bent the hell out of it. Beating on it, prying on it and standing on it.

You used 2 full cans of base and 2 full cans of clear on just the bumper? I'ma have to buy more cans then Wana do my front and rear really nice job man i usually use regular gloss clear coat recently ordered some 2k clear excited to try it

Turned out great man, the only thing I saw that I would recommend for the future, if you look at the clear coat it kinda deflects the light in a disoriented way which is called orange peel. If you wanna take it to the next step, wet sand your clear coat with like 1500 - 2000 grit and buff over with a cutting & polishing compound, it will come out like a mirror.

This is great video. Thanks for sharing commonly. I have recently bought a chrome bumper for my truck. But the color is metallic. I mean the color is like mirror, it is colorless and shiny. It is brand new bumper. I want it in white color because the front bumper of my truck is white. Can I directly use the paint that is used in the video? or do I have to make sanding and priming on the whole surfaces of this brand new bumper?
