It's shown in the video; complete the quest "Crane-Game Mania," which will automatically befriend him. If you already did that and don't have the Chansin anymore (fusion, etc.), you can befriend another in Shopper's Row under vending machines. He is Rank C and likes seafood.

I need help, where can you buy black syrup? I read on google that you can buy it in jungle hunter but I never found it there.

You do buy it from Jungle Hunter, actually, just not the owner. There is a second person that sells only black syrup. Just walk into Jungle Hunter (only open during the day) and look on the bottom screen for a person icon that is green instead of blue. There should be two, one being the owner behind the counter, and the other selling you black syrup.

Make sure you started the quest, then make it daytime on a clear day. If you ever get stuck in any quest, maybe try during a clear day, or any specified weather. Sapphinyan should not be in the way

You might also want to position yourself so that the "talk" icon is not above Sappinyan, but instead a "!" icon above your head.

This is normal, if you have already started the quest, then just continue. The boy is only needed outside the candy shop to start the quest.

It's possible that the time of day or weather switched when you first saw him. If you haven't talked to him yet then I would suggest sleeping until the next clear day. The information I have is as accurate as I can get without opening and reading code so maybe it needs to be clear weather as well.

You only need a B Rank Watch, not A Rank Time of day is also not required, It can be accepted and continued anytime, although Ol' Saint Trick is only found at night.

@@JosephMinch Yes. Luckily, nothing is ever locked when you upgrade your watch, so since you have s rank watch, you don't have to worry about your watch rank.
