Band pulled out last minute from 100 Club Punk Festival in London, organised by Sex Pistols' Malcolm McLaren. Siouxsie suggested she & Severin play, even with no band name or members. 2 days later, 9/20/76, they played with two "borrowed" musicians: Marco Pirroni on guitar & Sid Vicious on drums. I saw Siouxshee on February 13, 1992 at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas/Grand Prairie. Great show on their Superstition tour. Siouxsie has Crohn's disease, so touring must have been difficult for her.

Thanks for uploading this. I saw the Banshees early on and then throughout their existence. I have heard about this performance countless times and never dreamed l'd hear it. It's dire, badly recorded but it's out there. Superb. R&R history.

It pains me to know that scenes like Punk Rock will never happen again. The youth today dont want to be apart of anything unless they're playing Call of Duty and can talk to there friends without leaving the room. I would give anything to go back and be apart of something real and that actually said something. The Banshee's are as iconic in the music world as anybody. Especially Siouxsie. Her look was a huge part of it all.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - First Performance (100 Club Punk Festival: September 20, 1976) 1136am 11.11.24 thank fuck for that. i know certain periods in history demand(ed) something akin to this wherein they, the kids or the young adults...gaaaaaaawd!, throw everything to four winds and trash the fuck outta what had gone before.. but... it's be so contrived and tightly controlled that there would be no impetus or nonsense that should accompany such events or implosions as punk was.... all i think of when i hear such band monikers mentioned - as sex pistols and damned and siouxise and buzzcocks and eater and the fall etc etc is that i bet all those guys have some excellent on the road anecdotes to impart... all we get from the past is some demented desire to have band s conform to the notions as they have been assumed to represent as opposed to telling us a decent yarn... i even think such bands as yes and black sab and zeppelin would have decent stories to tell or rad about... when did suzie alter the spelling of her moniker to Siouxsie... or couldn't folk spell it in the native indian sense of the word?
