Good video, but can anyone explain WHY it is that the Mackie control surface needs to be enabled instead of the Arturia one for Logic? I like to understand the reasoning behind this for my own sake.

thanks so much. everything works fine except the "play" button on the transport bar on th4e keyboard. just makes logic immediately play, return.. over and over within a millisecond.. I can see the transport buttons flickering. tried everything but im lost. thanks much

How can I change the sounds (like which piano/synth/drum) do I have to do that in the daw or do I have control over that through the midi controller?

Actually, I thought I had a defective unit (I had this happen in Live too, but figured it out. Studio One wasn't a problem at all, weird). Arturia NEEDS to be aware of this, but they were pretty lame when I was trying to figure this out. Their instructions are just wrong, again, owe you a drink!

Now i'm installing alla my software dar logic, m-audio, mainstage etc. Grazie sei stato fondamentale nel riorganizzarmi il tutto. Il mio imac era divenuto molto lento, però cpu, ram, ed hd 3 tera fution erano perfetti.Allora ho reinstallato big sur da recovery apple e mi ha cancellato tutti i miei lavori e i miei software etc. Mi sono ricordato ed avevo salvato il tuo tutorial, quindi grazie a te ed alla tua guida finalmente mi sto riappropriando di tutte le mie cose musicali.Buon fine settimana grato moltissimo.Modesto

Your comment of using DAW in and DAW out fixed my issue. Other videos instructed to select "midi" for the input, but that caused only half of the buttons to work. Your instructions worked beautifully! Thank you!

Hi und danke für Dein Video. Ich bin so frei und frage auf deutsch: Ich habe heute das Keylab 61 MKll bestellt und bin nun ein wenig irritiert. Du sagst vor der Einbindung, dass Du das Keyboard vorher einem Factory-Reset unterzogen hast und selbiges mit Logic. Ich habe bereits Mackie-Control im Logic Setup. Sollte ich es vor dem erstmaligen Betrieb mit dem Arturia-Gerät aus dem Setup nehmen und wenn ja, geht das ohne weiteres. Herzlichen Dank
