First introduction to Mixtapes: I am from Anaheim California and grew up going to Chain Reaction and know the folks who run the doors. Got a call one morning in 2017 from a friend who knows my love 3rd wave So Cal skate and pop punk, and he tells me that he has some band from Wisconsin or Ohio or something playing a special show and he knows I would like them. Okay save me a spot, see you at 8pm. I accidentally end up at Mixtapes 1 time reunion show with 200 rabid fans. Of course I fall in love with Maura, like every guy does, right away, watched just mesmerized and leave hooked on the midwest pop punk scene. Been a huge fan of Mixtapes, Direct Hit!, Masked Intruder, and Pears ever since.

Amped 1-2 were awesome they went too far out of the box with amped 3 they should definitely bring amped back! Love this track Good memories. OG Xbox was the best!

I was an Aussie skater in the 80s and I never had Mexican food in my life and after I heard this song on Public Domain I was already hooked.

This is one of the best songs ever made.

This album was released in 1995, for those who care. I'm sure Hopeless rereleased it in 2003 or whatever, but the original was the follow up to Fifteen's Buzz (1994).

Props to Mike Ternasky and Tony Mag... starting a company is FUCKING HARD. There's so many moving parts. Recruiting all the skaters, getting your boards and merch in shops, shooting editing and releasing this video, getting all the business licenses, getting your guys paid, having an accountant, taxes, that's just scratching the surface... all the other little things you run into that you have to deal with. It's an 8am-7pm job. It's no joke. And why so many skate companies failed in the 90's. It's fucking hard. And those guys I would say are the first "indie" skate company. Lots of great memories from my childhood watching this video and learning to skate. Many thanks Mike T (RIP) and Tony Magnussen along with all the riders.
