Really wish Sigma would update this. A mirrorless E version with latest AF motors and stabilization would be an incredible lens. Concerts, arena sports, indoor events, musems and aquariums, fireworks, night sports - I've used a 135mm 1.8 prime for these but a 50-100 would be even better. Although ... 100mm is an awkward spot on APS-C, I'd be fine if a remake was 50-90 to save a little weight/size or just went to 50-135 (since it's a heavyweight w/ tripod collar anyway, might as well get the full 70-200 replacement).

I think sigma is recreating all of their old APS-C lenses into full frame ones. So honestly i genuinely think they will make this lens again 🤞🏼

@babourzainullah4 ай бұрын
Exactly right! With frame rate difference your shutter will change as well. It is my personal preference, because it saved my work multiple times so I would rather stick to 30fps but everyone has a different case so we should always shoot with final product in mind 😁👍🏼

how can I use 10 bit 4:2:2 files in premiere? I cannot play them
@babourzainullah5 ай бұрын
The only two things that I can suggest off the bat are: first, try updating your premier pro, it might sound stupid but worth the try. Another one try different app, for example like davinci resolve cuz it’s free. It might be time consuming but worth the effort. And the last part could be try renaming the files, sometime it does the trick. Hopefully they work, good luck 🍀

Great informative video, do you think this lens is good for shooting cooking videos I’m looking for a lens that can fit in Sony ZV e10 and able to shoot a 4k video of dinner plate from a meter away and at the same time be able to zoom in very close to show food ingredients. Your advise is much😊appreciated my friend
@babourzainullah5 ай бұрын
If it’s a video you are looking for I wouldn’t really recommend this specific lens. And that is because of two things, first one is the focus breathing is kind of bad for this lens. Second one is if you are using this lens with Sony ZV-E10 it might be really heavy on one side, and also very close to the subject. One meter away with 50 mm is very close. I personally would recommend 18-35 sigma f1.8 cuz you will have more room to work with especially if you are shooting 4K you can punch in digitally to a certain size. And minimal focus on 18-35 is much closer than 50-100, which will allow you to get those closer shots. But you will have to move your rig a bit. Anyways I think that was a lot, however I hope it was helpful 😁 Good luck 👍🏼

The Newer BP-4CH owner manual warns agains charging “unmatched batteries”. I presume “unmatched" means different brands, or capacity of V-mount batteries. Have you experienced any issues when charging a mix of different V-mount batteries?
@babourzainullah10 ай бұрын
Hey David, I've been using the Newer V-mount battery charger for a couple of years now, and I've picked up a bunch of new V-mount batteries along the way. Luckily, I haven't run into any major problems with most of them. The only hiccup is with the older ones-they don't hold a charge for as long. But honestly that's just the way V-mount batteries go after a few years of use. Hope that was helpful :)

Great Video! What is was looking for is the noise in black/bacground. i'm having some trouble filming in slog-3 on my sony a6400(8bit) (all in +1.7 stops) it keeps getting so noisy and kinda unusable sometimes, other times it works well, but i would'nt risk it doing a job for a client this way, risking to loose it all. I need to know if filming in 10 bit slog reduces this problem with the black noise. Thanks!
@babourzainullah Жыл бұрын
I used to have a Sony a6300 but i never experienced that issue. But I do think shooting a 10bit could be quite helpful in this situation because you will get more information in your shadows which I think is the issue for you at the moment. Sorry I hope this helps ☺️

I'm using the zv-e10 with the 7 artisans ef adapter and sigma 18-35. i love this lens so much i built a rig with custom cnc milled mount to support the camera and the lens. i am getting the 50-100 soon and can't wait to try it out! The sony gyro stabilization software works better and with less cropping than active stab or lens stab, so i don't miss it at all. Cheers!
@babourzainullah Жыл бұрын
You are gonna love it my man! I still haven't got to use the Gyro stabilization. Does is it actually work great right off the bat or do I have to learn a few tricks to make it look smooth and stable?

@@babourzainullah If you set the minimal crop ratio to anywhere between 90.3 and 95 will take out most if not all of the jitters. Just make sure that you have your marker ratio setting in camera at 1.85:1 to ensure the framing will be able to be cropped in Catalyst Browse and not lose any footage.

So far so good. The battery is still the same, lasts almost exactly the same amount. Dropped it a few times nothing happened to it, so durability is pretty good as i thought. Had a shoot last weekend , I used this light to fill in some dark areas and added in the car scene did it job perfectly. Since I always use it in my KZbin videos now, I just keep it magnetized on my fridge. And use it in the background to add some colours and keep the shot interesting. So I am really happy with my purchase so far, no complaints on my end :) I might make a video about it soon actually. Thanks for reaching out!

Nice video, not sure why you don't have more subs. I agree that most folks who are new to the hobby are seemingly very hung up over collecting the trinity. In most cases, just a good 24-70 equivalent would suffice for most amateurs (except those who are buying in for specific types of photography like birding, macros, or interior/ architecture). I only own the Fuji 18-55 XF kit lens that I bought as a bundle with my XT-20 back in the day along with my old CZJ Flektogon 35/2.4 & Sonnar 135/3.5 which I've used since the film era. The kit lens alone would cover almost everything I would shoot whilst travelling. I would say the only lens I'm really missing is an ultra wide (10mm or shorter) for those rare occasions when I want to fully capture an interior shot of a place of interest. The Flektogon is really just there because I like the contrast and dreamy bokeh (I use a Turbo with it so I can still use it as a 35mm FF effectively) - works great as purely just a single lens/ camera combo for general urban photography (the close MFD is great for food too). The Sonnar 135 works good for 'macro' style shoots or when I just need a tad more reach. With the additional crop factor (~200mm FF FOV w/o Turbo), it works even better at these tasks. If you find you're having issues with enunciation, you need to just slow down and speak a little slower. Speaking slower also helps if you find that others are having problems understanding what you're saying (due to language barriers or heavy accents etc.)
@babourzainullah Жыл бұрын
Appreciate all the knowledge. Thank you so much for a such lovely comment :) I am more than 100% agree with you. Now days people purchase items, lenses, cameras without knowing anything. If I could start off my whole rig from scratch I would definitely reconsider some of my purchases. I used to buy items hoping it will make a better cinematographer but I was so wrong. Now I am try to keep my rigs to minimal and find the best solution to work with what I have. Thanks again for your support! I will definitely work on speaking slower 😊
@BigBenAdv Жыл бұрын
@@babourzainullah I think you're doing great. One thing to take note of, especially at the beginning of this video, is continuity error in editing the video. You had obviously took a second cut and it was very obvious in the transition where the keyboard and lenses moved on the table. If you're having to switch to a 2nd take, it might help to cut in a different angle or scene (or some transition frame) and then switching back to the original angle with a 2nd take so it's not obvious that the scene has changed slightly. I totally understand the feeling that you have - that perfecting the shot includes perfecting the gears behind it. IMO, while minimizing the amount of equipment does help when flying solo, it might be better worth your while to spend a little less on the main equipment and getting a 2nd/ backup camera setup (could be a decent smartphone or webcam etc.) for B-rolls that would help in the story telling and editing. What I see is probably that you're mainly working as a videographer and doing a great job as one but probably lacking the exposure to creative art direction requirements (e.g. film director or DoP). That's a good next step and if you can speak more with such folks in your line of work, perhaps they can impart more ideas or concepts of creative art direction so you'll be able to build up the techniques and style that best fits you.
@babourzainullah Жыл бұрын
@@BigBenAdv I really appreciate all the knowledge and the notes. I reviewed the first cut and after you mentioning it, I can definitely see how jarring of a cut it is. I will work on those mistakes and will try my best to make the videos more seamless with better transitions. I am trying to add another top down camera on my desk table to make the shots more interesting, so I can keep the story going. Thank you again for taking your time and helping me out :)
