1:05:20 Pause right there. Those are the eyes that all legends have when it comes down to a clutch situation. It's like a "2000 yard stare" but with no trauma involved. Everything in your peripheral vision goes dark. And all you see is that mark. Nothing else goes through your mind except "hit that mark."

EnigmaZero, That was a fantastic upload of the Ebonite Thunderbolt Dual Block Bowling Ball Commercial that features Carmen Salvino. Also, Do you like the Telecasts on the Pba Tour that are held in New York? Also, You are the best in uploading the bowling videos on KZbin.

I wonder how the thunderbolt would work today with today's Lane conditions and the newer different oil that's being put on the lanes and I wonder if ebonite had ever thought about maybe even though it's now brands of Brunswick bringing the thunderbolt out of retirement and maybe bring it out as in a reactive ball with hk22 or just bring it back out as a urethane maybe a tweak it up a little bit have a little stronger cover maybe a cover similar to a purple hammer

They released a ball called the “Thunderbolt Urethane Maroon” in May of 2022. I’ve never seen one and can’t find any information about it. It probably stinks like all the other remakes they release to capitalize on people’s nostalgia.

Buzzsaw Gant was phenomenal. I got to meet him in person in 1997 in Vegas, while being at the Sahara casino. He remembered me in 1999 at the Showboat Tour stop and we spoke again there as well as at ABC Masters that year. When I ran into him at the 2000 Masters, I made him laugh hard. We spoke a few times and after the second day of qualifying, we ran into each other in the paradise garage. John asked me how I bowled and I told him " I did horrible shooting a -280 under". He said "I wasn't too far behind you shooting a -220 under". I said to him " I thought you weren't human, you don't shoot -220"?. He busted up laughing. This was a super great field of bowlers here, 2 of which i know personally Wodka and Gant.

I like everything about Gant, from his ahead of its time physical game to his willingness to leave the Tour to raise his kids. I am also married to a physician so his career arc really speaks to me. I love that when he returned to the Tour he just rolled out of bed and won a title to re-qualify for the ToC and then won that too.

@enigmazero8624 amen I agree with you. Even after he quit the Tour to raise the kids so his wife could finish her internship and degree to be a Surgeon, he still made money on the side bowling PBA REGIONAL events on the weekends, when his wife Beverly wasn't in school.

Hromek will go down as top 5 overrated on the pba tour in history. Hromek got lucky to beat Parker for the us open title He won a doubles title with Dick Weber Himmler should of had way more titles. Got robbed on some shows Webb couldnt live in vegas with his gambling problem got lucky to meet A really rich woman he married. He made the bowling movie league of ordinary gentleman look terrible All he did was wine wine wine and then his garbage 🗑️ karoake He couldnt live in vegas long he gambled all his money away If you notice hes using dynothane. That was started by Ron Wood in Vegas Wayne was livimg in Vegas at the time He was the only one. on staff

In hindsight it’s crazy to me that the Masters used to be televised separately from the actual PBA Tour television contact, often on more obscure networks. I realize that the Masters was not (and still is not) a PBA event, but that still seems so strange to me. Before 2008 it wasn’t even considered a PBA title. So guys like Doug Kent and Rick Steelsmith won the Masters and then 5-10 years later won their “first” PBA title, or someone like Steve Wunderlich retired having “never won a title” even though he won the Masters and is now credited as being a PBA champion. When Earl Anthony died he officially had 41 titles and now he has 43. Those inconsistencies drive me nuts.
