Loved this film, what a piece of evidence showing a two years section of 45 years of hard work, total dedication and compassion in rescuing these generations of dogs. It brought me to tears more than once but equally to smiles as well. You are a very special man with a huge heart, so a very big thank you to you.

Thank you. It was a long journey and all of the beautiful angels in the video have gone to Rainbow Bridge. I can't watch it because I miss them too much, though there are many more now who need us.

Interesting! I have kept all the medical records of each animal for 45-years. Every time we lose a friend we put "RIP" on their folder and file it in a special storage container just for these records. Some day a school like Cornell will put these records in a computer -- and discover treatments and cures. Life long records sometimes birth to death. Back in the 90's we started a kidney dialysis program at UC Davis. First in the world. It is in many countries now. And it changed human medicine world wide too. Your idea is a compelling one!

@@AnimalSuperSanctuary It's amazing how you've kept such detailed medical records for so long. The potential for these records to contribute to advancements in veterinary and human medicine is truly impressive. It's inspiring to hear about the kidney dialysis program you initiated at UC Davis and its impact on global medicine. Your dedication and foresight in preserving these records are truly commendable. Keep up the fantastic work, and I wish you all the best!

Just came across this clip. Thank you so much for addressing this. I adopted a cat 3 years ago that had showed up at my house with wounds on her back. The local shelter was going to put her down because she was FIV+ so I decided to keep her. After doing some research on it, I have been doing my bit ever since to advocate for these cats whenever I can and inform people that FIV should not be an automatic death sentence. We have had a few issues (mostly slower to heal than FIV negative cats) but she is healthy and happy and a very beloved member of the family!
@AnimalSuperSanctuary2 ай бұрын
Our FIV cats mostly live a full life. We always knew ther was a third retrovirus. Not FIP and not FeLV. Then decades later Neils Pederson at UC Davis isolated it and he told me they found it in frozen cat blood 30-years old. Just as we suspected. He is the one who also invented the new FIP treatment. Thank you for spreading the word!

Mr Grillo... I watched the Fight Back Segment that you were Featured in back in the 80's. The way you described what the poor animal goes through when they are left on their own made me so sad. I just wanted to say God Bless You for all Your hard work and dedication to saving these precious animals. Its amazing to see how far DELTA has come because of your hard work.

What a wonderful person. However use caution. He uses the word "hay" in his directions but clearly he meant to use the word "straw". These two things are very different and it's important that you use straw.

Straw bale construction was invented in Northwest Nebraska, so it might? "Straw-bale construction was greatly facilitated by the mechanical hay baler, which was invented in the 1850s and was widespread by the 1890s.[8] It proved particularly useful in the Nebraska Sandhills. Pioneers seeking land under the 1862 Homestead Act and the 1904 Kinkaid Act found a dearth of trees over much of Nebraska. In many parts of the state, the soil was suitable for dugouts and sod houses.[9] However, in the Sandhills, the soil generally made poor construction sod;[10] in the few places where suitable sod could be found, it was more valuable for agriculture than as a building material.[11] "The first documented use of hay bales in construction in Nebraska was a schoolhouse built in 1896 or 1897. Unfenced and unprotected by stucco or plaster, it was reported in 1902 as having been eaten by cows. To combat this, builders began plastering their bale structures; if cement or lime stucco was unavailable, locally obtained "gumbo mud" was employed.[11] Between 1896 and 1945, an estimated 70 straw-bale buildings, including houses, farm buildings, churches, schools, offices, and grocery stores had been built in the Sandhills.[8] In 1990, nine surviving bale buildings were reported in Arthur and Logan Counties,[12] including the 1928 Pilgrim Holiness Church in the village of Arthur, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.[10]" Source: Wikipedia
