I am having a big issue with connecting my extender. Att router has a solid white light. But I reset my extender several times and it still ends up with a blinking red light

Are there any other cords needed?? Wanna make sure I don’t need a technician out. I’m in a house that previously had att. Already have the fiber outlet on the wall.

Mine cuts out the entire house about 6 times per hour for about two minutes at a time…tech came out and checked all the outside and wiring said it was all good… he couldn’t figure it out and just left…. I swapped the gateway for a new one… same issue… this just started a month ago with no issues for a year prior to that…this only happened with att when I had Xfinity internet was way more stable with no service drops… I even factory reset the gateway and set it up as a new one again… same issue… at this point since the techs are useless I might as well go back to Comcast… its was more expensive but at least it worked consistently

What makes me mad is att upgraded me to optic, they sent me a new gateway to replace my 5268ac. I asked them what to do with the old gateway. They said toss it. Well so at that point I said let’s start to tinker with it, dig through the firmware and see what’s all in it. It had a lot of stuff that someone with a very remedial network skill could have used to hack my new gateway. Because if I can do it almost anyone can do it.

If get BGW210 cause i currently have BGW320 I just don’t like the new one I feel like it has more jitters and just slower even with 2 gigs

So, is there anything we should know before you reset your router, cause I looked at some other videos and apparently you have some routers that will require you to put in your SSID, then you had to put in your IP address and everything and put in the rest of the information for your specific router (which can apparently expose yourself, so you have to do it quickly) and I have read about cases where people didn't know this before resetting and they ended up not having all the needed information and had to contact support to get them setting everything back up, so is that something you have to do for "every" router after you reset? Cause, I have been getting a solid red light on my router lately and power cycling doesn't really help all that much, so I thought about resetting it.

Just returned my att extenders. They are not fast. Bought tplink decos from amazon to replace those and wifi has never been better.
