Went to Sam's Town many times and ate their many times. Used to go from work many times and have breakfast there. The Buffett was on the second floor and they had a 24-hour restaurant on the first floor. Sam's Town was one of my favorite places. Never stayed there though. The Boyd Group has excellent food at their properties. My wife liked to go to Calamity Jane's in the food quart for ice cream.

I went today. It was horrible. And it was 46 bucks. Cold, gross food. I felt like asking for my money back because I had part of a steak. Tried to eat some crab legs but they weren’t cooked properly. You had to be a bird to get the meat out of them. Eggs were powdered reanimated crap. Selection is poor. Just do yourself a favor and go someplace else. The South Point does it pretty well.
@TheBuffetKingАй бұрын
South Point has a lot of choices but the quality is worse than palms. But i agree, the overall value at SP is better

There is something that no one talks about and it is the worst shower ever. You can not move the shower head freely because it it is fixed from above. Also, the water current is EXTREMELY harsh and can not be reduced. It is like an on/off water tap. The worse! How can you clean your bum this way 😂

Very well-produced review! The long lines at midweek suggest you did not arrive very early. I'm hoping that's the case because I'm scheduled to be there in August on a Saturday and hope to avoid the lines if I show up when they open at 9am. BTW, earlier reviews I've seen include brisket. Seems that's been replaced by the steaks.

Great review, and I agree with your assessment. My wife and I got back from Vegas last week and sadly we missed the Palms buffet this trip. I won’t miss it on our next trip this year. As always, you are the best in class. Just to add, our favorite meal was at the Top of Binion’s. The food and service was outstanding. Cheers! 4:08.
@TrangleC4 ай бұрын
Very nice and appealing. Thanks. I have been dreaming of doing a US trip my whole life and experiencing the food has always been a big part of why, but it never worked out so far. Now it has become more likely that I can do it, but it might be too late, because I got health issues specifically linked to eating a lot. I am fat (not Lizzo fat, but overweight), but I can't eat large meals anymore. Every time I do pig out, I get huge problems, probably with acid reflux. And with "pigging out" I mean eating a full plate of food and then having a sundae for desert. That was what was enough the last time I had a big attack. Oh, and what makes it worse is that I only eat once a day. So that plate full and the sundae was all I ate that day. So I am not even talking about eating 3 meals like that a day. At least I think it must be acid reflux. The reason why I am not sure is because I never heard anyone else say that acid reflux is as incredibly painful as what happens when I have one of those attacks. Of course I could just be a giant pu**y wimp, but I have had serious injuries in my life and never was that affected by pain. I once had my right foot crushed during a motorcycle accident. 19 fractures spread out over the foot and lower leg and that pain didn't keep me awake as effectively as one of those (supposed) acid reflux attacks I'm getting for the last 5 years or so. It always starts with a feeling of growing discomfort, as if someone would blow up a balloon inside my chest and eventually the pain gets so bad that all I can do is just writhe in pain in my bed like a half-squished worm all night. Even when I take strong pain medication, it takes about 3 to 4 hours till I can fall asleep. Long story short, a buffet eating trip to Las Vegas would probably not be a good idea anymore. I would either have to waste a lot of money and limit myself to one plate full of food (again, per day), or I would have to just live with being tortured all night, every night during that trip.

I would like to hear more about your health issues, as would many others, I'm sure.

The Aloha night on Saturday at the Rampart is a steal. The Hawaiian dishes are very authentic but the desserts are the best since the chef is from Hawaii. Lots of local boys that work at the casino speak very highly of the lau lau that is only served in the employee lounge.

Your food reviews are the best in class. As always I thank you for your objective reviews. We were in Vegas a few weeks ago and our favorite buffet was at the Bellagio where we stayed. We also dined at the Excalibur and Luxor buffets which were average at best. However 2 for 1 deals make the visit worthwhile. Just to add the Southpoint buffet serves Teppankaki which we truly enjoyed. Thanks again.

Very appealing food and well made video, but unfortunately I am not a buffet guy, even though I wish I could be. From experience I know that I never get my money's worth out of buffets. I'm fat but I still somehow seem to have a small stomach and I just can't eat huge amounts. Every time I go to a buffet, I'm full after my second modestly loaded plate. If I'm lucky, I can fit some dessert in after that, but that is it. To be honest, I don't even really know why I am fat. I don't move much, but I also don't eat much. When I count calories and calculate with what the food labels say, I should hardly get over the base caloric intake a dude of my age and weight should need just for breathing and pumping my blood and all that.
