You lost hp with that kit. Dyno proven. But, if you like it, who cares. Oh, and the sound tube DOES NOT make FAKE noise. There is nothing inside of it making a fake noise. It channels a bit of REAL engine noise into the cabin because the cabin is so well sealed.

"I don't wanna break your car" you did the right thing bro because those damn plastic clips holding the genesis bumper on right there break so easily. I found a good youtube vid where the guy shows how to lift from the bottom of the bumper on that side while pulling out and up I think to get it off without breaking the clip . To be honest I think sooner or later it will break so I'm looking into getting those bumper quick release things to prepare for it.

Bro, I love my Shearwater. I sold my original j2 to my buddy. I upgraded to the PP-767 J2 Bixpy. I plug my deck, with the casserte and teather my fin drive. It's a fast boat. 💯 🛶 🎣
@fisherman32109 ай бұрын
Me too, I love the stability and the seat. Very nice, I use the fin drive with the bixpy at the same time. Did you see they’re going to release an updated shearwater at the end of the summer? It will have a big hatch at the front, along with other updates, all new hull design.

My thought also...put the trolling motor on the outrigger, except put a second trolling motor on the other side

It would honestly be unnecessary weight and 2x the power draw on the battery for little speed gain.

Hey bro, I actually had bought my bixpy before my shearwater, because I knew I'd be waiting a year, and I also purchased the fins. But if you plug the deck, my boat has reached over 5.3 mph. However I'm in my 2nd season, still adding more fishing gear. And I'm 5ft 7" 151 lbs. But that boat is extremely fast in open water. 😎 🎣 stay safe bro.

@@fisherman3210 yeah, definitely either put in the pod or use a template, and use black pvc board, and secure it. It'll stop alot of drag and stop the water, from coming up through the deck. Good luck bro, and awsome kayak. Love 🙏 😎
