I think it depends on how it was done. I agree that it might be too early to do a trilogy with all new characters-----unless it's something like the "Dawn Of The Jedi" movie. However, at some point, we have to move past the Skywalker saga. I will say that they have successfully created trilogies of books with no familiar characters, other than one or two. Doing that on film is, admittedly, different.

Thinking about it - Andor was absolutely amazing and had all new characters. I suppose if the universe is recognisable it could be ok. I defo need at least a picture of Luke on a wall in the background or something though 😄

While neither Darryl or I were fans of the show, the story could continue in novels or comics. It makes me wonder if Lesley was taken by surprise by this, since she gave this interview about season 2.

Not sure what this means, but if you watched our reviews of the Acolyte, they were quite scathing. This video was not based on our hopes, but an interview Lesley Headland did about a potential season 2. 😂😂

The Acolyte is indeed dead. Although the basic story was decent, the writing and execution of the show was bad.

She practiced her skills on Vanquo. I don’t recall anyone actually training her. She was quite adept at fighting with a shock staff. She had Zayne’s lightsaber at one point, but I don’t remember her being formally trained. She was only marginally adept with The Force anyway, so most of her skill with a lightsaber was probably more melee, and less Force.

I also was told she sparred with Malak that true?

@headtoheadsw complex characters like Ben Solo who turned into Kylo Ren and well back into Ben Solo by the redemption of love should be explored because much of the audience today will be able to identify with this and perhaps grow from the lessons learnt whilst enjoying screentime?

Agreed. That would be a fantastic outcome. Since they have created characters for this series that could technically survive the events of Rogue One, they could follow their stories in a follow up series, or even film.

Well, as you saw, I liked it, but Darryl hates it. Lol. That said, I agree that if something drastic doesn’t happen soon, new Star Wars projects will be meaningless to fans.

First, we have to define failure. Failure in the eyes of Lucasfilm differs greatly from how we, as fans, view it. I think if it were to fail by their standards, they might concentrate on Andor Season 2, and regroup the way they’ve done for the films. I don’t think this one will fail, though.

This is true. It’s somewhat of a plot hole, though Lucas would explain this as a prophecy that would happen should the Force go out of balance. It was actually happening, because Palpatine already began clouding the light side. According to current Canon, much of the High Republic era saw the Force in balance, hence the reason it was the zenith of the Jedi. The Acolyte looks to be about the transition from balance to imbalance with the rise of the dark side. We’ll have to see. Either way, you’re right. The light side was clouded, so they did not see the imbalance. This is probably why they didn’t believe Anakin was the chosen one. They did not believe the prophecy was necessary, since they saw no imbalance.
