Some of my favorites from December were Body on Baker Street (Sherlock Holmes Bookshop series) by Vicki Delaney, On Borrowed Time (Library Lovers) by Jenn McKinlay and Saddled with Murder (Dr. Kate Vet series) by Eileen Brady. I just picked up the first two books in the Mountain Lodge series at my library's book sale. I can't wait to read them. I am also continuing to love the Tea Shop mysteries. I am just a few books ahead of you. Hope your new year is going well!📚💙

Your recommendations are really good. I read the first two books in the Dianne Kelly series based on your recommendation and plan to read the third this year! I was bummed to hear that the series may not continue. I also loved the Carol J. Perry books that I read based on your recommendation. Happy New Year!

You had a good reading month😊. I reread two books A House Without A Christmas Tree (first a tv movie, made into a book- both are good) and the last book I read was The Christmas Train by David Baldacci ( It's a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie mystery also.) Got a very late delivery Friday and may still read Murder On The Christmas Train tomorrow the 12th day of Christmas , Jan 6 Epiphany😊. Happy Reading!❄📚❄

I have been unsure about cosy mysteries but I have to say, I do love a good 'talking' animal! Especially if they add a comedy aspect!! 😂

Greetings Amy, My reads for December were one Thanksgiving Mystery & the rest of them were Christmas mysteries. I read 10 books. I first read To The Tome of Murder by Lauren Elliott a Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery. There's a Civil War cooking contest & it was interesting to learn about Godey’s Ladies Magazine, but who killed Addie's cousin's boyfriend & her cousin is the prime suspect & Thanksgiving is coming up. There's a new narrator on the audiobook & it was a little disconcerting because I was used to the previous narrator who used more distinctive voices for all of the characters. Next was The Diva Wraps It by Up Krista Davis, #8 in the Domestic Diva Series. Accidents are happening at the Christmas decorating contest in Sophie's neighborhood. But then there's an incident with the annual cookie swap and Sophie finds a body in Natasha's garage! I then read Plum Pudding Murder by Joanne Fluke #12 in the Hannah Swenson series where Hannah & her sisters and friends figure out who killed the owner of the local Christmas tree farm. A Cup of Holiday Fear by Ellie Alexander #10 in her Bakeshop mysteries, Jules and the Torte staff attend a Dickens feast at the local Winchester Inn. The owners who are old friends of Jules & her mom are selling the hotel with the promise that the new owner keeps the traditions of their hotel. The new owner is really horrible and is talking about all the things she will be changing. Someone ends up dead before the night is over after a bunch of mishaps happen. Another book I read was We Wish You a Murderous Christmas by Vicki Delany, #2 in the Year Round Christmas Mystery & interesting enough this is another mystery involving a hotel changing ownership. Merry Wilkinson who runs a Christmas shop in Rudolph, New York finds out that her parent's friends who own the Yuletide Inn are turning it over to the son of the husband. However, the son plans to get rid of the Christmas theme at the hotel and make a deal with a hotel franchise company. Everyone in town is upset since the town's livelihood is Christmas all year round and they are afraid they're businesses will suffer. A murder happens and Merry's father is the chief suspect. The following book I read was God Rest Ye, Royal Gentlemen by Rhys Bowen #15 in the Her Royal Spryness Mysteries. Georgie is looking forward to having her first Christmas at her new home with Darcy, her mother, Granddad, Binky, Fig & their family. But things get upended when Darcy's Aunt Ermintrude invites the group to her house which is on the grounds of Sandringham. Aunt Ermintrude was a former lady in waiting to the Queen and Georgie knows that she needs to visit her where she find out that there were a couple of accidents that happened last year which resulted in death and the Queen would like Georgie to keep her eyes and ears open. More accidents happen again. Who is behind them? The Skeleton Stuffs A Stocking by Leigh Perry is next, which is #6 in the Family Skeleton Mysteries. Georgia and her family are excited to be celebrating Christmas together but then their dog runs away and Georgia & her daughter Madison find Byron gnawing on a bone. They grab the bone and immediately run to see Sid and apologize about Byron but then find out he is fine and not missing any bones. So whose bone is it and where did it come from? "Twas The Knife Before Christmas by Jacqueline Frost #2 in The Christmas Tree Farm Mysteries. Holly White notices something is in the giant bowl of Peppermints is the Holiday display on the Town Square in Mistletoe, Maine and Holly's best friend Caroline is the prime suspect! Then I read Sleep In Heavenly Pizza by Mindy Quigley #4 in the Deep Dish Mysteries. Delilah & the gang are catering a party and a couple of things go wrong, the next day, Delilah goes to the Snow Sculpture exhibit and a body is found in one of the sculptures. The victim attended the party that Delilah catered. Unfortunately, a couple of Delilah's employees are not coming forward about things and things get tense and are on the suspect list. On top of that her brother-in-law was at the party and he is acting strange as well. Then her sister arrives who Delilah has always felt intimidated by and it looks like Delilah's own Chrismukkah party is falling apart. Finally. I read Mistletoe and Mayhem by London Lovett #3 in the Port Danby Series. Port Danby is preparing for the annual Harbor Holiday Lights Flotilla and a fun Shop Window Decorating contest. However, one of the boat owners has been strangled. Lacey 'Pink' Pinkerton is offering her special ability to help Detective Briggs find out clues. I think my favorites were The Skeleton Stuffs a Stocking. I am sad that this is the last book in the series although I heard there is a short story out there. The others were God Rest Ye, Royal Gentlemen and Sleep in Heavenly Pizza, this series just keeps getting better and of course, Butterball! I read 81 books last year, pretty much all cozy mysteries.

Great reading month! I didn't read much last month. I was still in my slump and plus there were the holidays too. I did read the new John Grisham called Framed. It's a nonfiction book about people who were convicted of crimes they didn't commit. It was so sad but a very interesting read.

You had a great reading month! I enjoyed Snow Place For Murder except for the nose part. It went too far for me and I don't think it was necessary. The Christmas Tree Farm series has ruined me for all other Christmas cozies. It's perfect for me. I want to try the Deputy Donut series. I just wish all of the books were available on audio. I loved Fondue or Die too. I can't wait to read the next book. My favorite cozies in December were You Feta Watch Out by Linda Reilly, Thrown For A Scoop by Dana Mentink, and A Killer Hold by Leah Dobrinska. I recommend all of them. Have a great week! 📚💜

I love that you are enjoying the The Tea Shop series by Laura Childs, this series was one of the first cozy mystery series I found and started reading years ago! I’ve read quite a few but have quite a few to read yet! I have always enjoyed and surprised no one talks about them!!!! So I’m glad you found them too and suggest to others here on your channel 🫖❤ I found a couple Christmas books by Author Rosie A Point that were a short, cute and a fun Christmas read. Owl be home for Christmas, Dachshund through the Snow and Have a Jolly Collie Christmas. They were a quick cozy mystery read during the busy holidays that were fun 🎄📚

I never buy or keep thrillers or murder mysteries( only cozies) because i just already know what happens and it takes away the fun but cozies i love the atmosphere so my favorites i will reread. I found the book in a free little library a year ago and was so happy. Its the only murder mystery i own that i will keep forever.

I have had a great year of reading last year including a lot of your recommendtions thank you . And also have across some great new authors to me including Allison Brook, Victoria Gilbert and Tom Mead, and my usual favourites Krista Davis, Vicki Delany, Eva Gates, Vivian Chien and many more. But my all time favourite book last year was an author completely new to me Maz Evans Over my dead Body. It's really different it's about a woman Dr Miriam Price who has been murdered and her ghost has to prove that she has been murdered or she will spend fifty years in limbo but the only person who can see is her neighbour Winnie and they really don't like each other! There are some really good subplots and the relationship between Winnie and Miriam is really funny . It made me laugh and cry. It seems to be a standalone unfortunately. ❤️📚
