To be honest i do not like this rendition of silent night by whitney, cause in my opinion she overly sung it too jazzy and gospel, its such a simple well known traditional nice slow Xmas song , i think in my opinion the jazzed up gospel arrangement she did ,could've been alot better than this, i think she should've kept the slow regular style and arrangement that it is normally, like within the vein of how she did O Holy night, yea something nice like that style would've matched way better, thats ashame she didn't sing it as a slow song which she totally would've fit with it as a nicer slow ballad that would have captured her classic slow ballad sound that would've also showed off more of her nice strong vocals that she normally has on her slow song hits that she is well known for, thats my only criticism on her Xmas album , was she jazzed up silent night way too much over done with not really singing it out as the melody got twisted and jumped around with the gospel style and it to me ruined such a beautiful classic Xmas song that totally would've just did fine if she had not jazzed it up with the tempo and had sung the whole entire song with her normally beautiful voice that she has, its a simple song and classic Xmas song, that doesn't need all that jazz and too much riffs and runns going on ,which totally ruins a Beautiful Classic Xmas song altogether yea just don't like this deck the halls combined with silent night and especially in this arrangement and style it just doesn't sound good, and it's a shame she didn't do it as traditional slow song style like how boys2men or so many other good pop singer s had recorded it, i mean what's disappointing is that i can only imagine in my head how beautiful silent night the whole entire song as a nicer slower ballad would have sounded with her already awesome gifted beautiful voice she already is known for , and its now just wonder and if Ai now does a whitney houston voice sound alike , lol that would probably unfortunately be the only way to possibly hear whitney houston sing silent night as a whole slow ballad tempo style...I swear some Ai covers of artists are bad but on the other hand I've heard some pretty good convincing ones that totally come close to sounding like the real person artist that they are trying to sound like
