WAAYY better off farming the scythe from the grave yard next to the Church of Irith. Ride/Run from Lake-Facing Cliff SoG to the graveyard 5 seconds away where there's 3 skeleton spawns all with scythes. A quarter the travel time and 3x the chance compared to Summonwater Village

Weapons and armours are all just the visuals. What really matters is all the 300 buffs and consumables before bosses in souls games. Good one tho

I had to laugh loud during the intro... I wanted to farm 2 grave scythes... took 1h +.

theeeen you get into pvp...and you run into a poise monster that happily trades damage with you out doing your scyth, or you run into the infamous death blight magician who chose homicide and you get the heaviest vigor check of your career when you get smacked death lightning....or better yet, you run into literal gandalf on crack who yeets so many spells at you, that you physically cant get close because you avoiding every aoe known to the lands between. Oooh or you run into any and every weapon which out poises the scyth...there are a few that work halo scyth is prized for it's range and is great for dealing with long range...untillll you realize your recovery is so bad that in the time it takes you to yeet a halo the enemy has just emptied there fp pull and your dead and they dodged the halo...scythes are absolutely a skill based weapon, and take allot of effort to make work.
