A friend of mine named Zack wrote this song. Although the song is very minimalist, he is one of the best guitarists I have ever known. He can quite literally play anything. You can find more of his music at bandcamp. Great guy.

Yeah, to be honest, this is probably my favorite carvin so far. It’s a 1989 dc200 that I completely rewired and loaded it with a DiMarzio super distortion and super2 . It sounds like running through a forest of razor blades now. I genuinely love it.

The best thing to do is go to a store and try out as many as you can. I still own the guitar I’m playing in this video. It’s one of my favorites. I recently bought a “Vola Keene machine” and I really like it a lot. If you don’t have a lot of money maybe take a look at a used “Carvin.“ I have several and I think they are a great value when you find a good deal. However, I usually change the electronics out on most of them. What kind of guitar do you want? What kind of music do you want to play on it?

@@cris_horizons Have you tried a “Wizard 1 neck”, the Wizard 1 available on a few different Ibanez guitars and is extremely thin, fast and has a 16” radius which is very flat. Each brand has low level stuff as well as high end. Many brands are also made in the exact same factories and very comparable.

@@cris_horizons I would say you would need to try one first to know. It’s hard to say. I have played both bad and good guitars from all manufacturers. Have you tried an Ernie ball made in USA model? I played a few recently and the necks were amazing. Possibly the best necks I have tried.

Thanks. That guitar has a set of Bare Knuckles Pig HSP90s in it. War Pig P-90 in humbucker size. They sound fairly brutal in that guitar. I am also using the 550k pots and the bare knuckle paper capacitor.🤘

Trust me I get it. When I was young in the 80’s, I played that way as well . However, I did see a modern video of Discharge and the current guitarist wasn’t even doing down strokes the whole time. And to be fair, I was just trying to make a video to encourage beginners to pick up a guitar and start playing. I wasn’t really trying to do a deep dive into cloning their techniques or anything. I just thought it was a great song for a beginner to learn verses say smoke on the water.

I’m glad you notice the OFC shirt. One of my favorites. I had wanted to do a playthrough of “Blood and Thundar” but it’s seems to be impossible to hear what Chuck was playing. Although, I love metal from multiple decades. My favorite stuff will always be the stuff I grew up with. In regards to Impaled Nazarene, I agree “Ugra Karma,” was the best but I remember when “Tol Cormpt Norz Norz Norz,” came out I was like “Wow, what in the Unholy Sh*t is this,” that album was a favorite for riding around in the car and scarring the hell out of people in the early 90’s.😂 There was so many cool Finish bands back then.
