Great show !!! By the way, did you know that there are 3 types of roller-skaters/skateboarders: Those with a properly fitted helmet, those without helmet & those with a loosely fitted helmet. The first ones like their brain, the second ones prefer their comfort vs their longevity, & the third type, with loosely fitted helmet, doesn't give a sh... about their usefulness on earth (Could be right about that). The third type puts up with all the discomfort of wearing a helmet & none of its advantages... kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqOtl6x-ed2amNk

Thanks for the explanations on the 3 different types. I personally have mine tight enough where I can mount a selfie stick on the top with my camera and not have it shift while skating. (My strap on the neck isn't the tightest fit but I tighten it on the head portion to fit my head.) I know people say their pads and helmets restrict their body movement and are uncomfortable, but the 1 time you fall and prevent an injury it makes it totally worth it to wear them.

Yeah it looked really nice when we were there. This was a lantern festival they were having in Philly when we were there. It was really dead cause it was raining and also early Sunday morning. I guess they went through here during the Saturday night session and the place was packed and you couldn't get through. We missed the saturday night session Dang and Daniel were too tired. =)

I have been doing it for about a year or so. I do moves in these positions now that I have yet to see any other skater do ever! Still always room for improvement. I have been trying to learn to do 180 spins in the toe toe position. I will likely be posting some videos of Gabe I recorded from the Boston event in August in the next couple of weeks. I am finishing up the Philly event we went to and then I will be doing videos from the Boston event!

It's smooth but notice the large cracks. I am using 100MM wheels in this video and the wheels can still get stuck in the cracks randomly. Other than the cracks it is a smooth surface. The tennis courts at Cold Spring are about the same as far as surface... they have large cracks as well.

It takes a little practice. You are better off going to one of the parks or bike paths to learn vs going out on the street. I go to WW2 or Cold Spring Park often. There is another nice spot behind the city hall in Blackstone as well. We also do a lot of indoor skating at United Skates. I am typically there every Thursday and Friday Night.

@@RISk8ers Thanks for info and reply! ... I am working up the courage to go to United Skates. :) I might go soon, after I finish my 3rd lesson at Thuro next week. ;) ... I live right on the bike path here (though it doesn't actually connect at either end to anything, LOL, not yet) so I will stick to that once the construction is done. The parking lot where I live is a bit rough, but it works for now.

@kristinc8285 you live near the one in the back of Cold Spring Park I take it then? Or are you referring to the short one near KFC in the downtown area? The Blackstone one, believe it or not, goes from Uxbridge all the way to India Point Bridge in Providence with on street sections. Even from there, it connects to the East Bay. How are the lessons at Thuro going for you overall? Never taken a lesson before. I know Gabe and a few others from the shop. I have a discord mentioned on my videos if you ever want to pop on and talk to some of us. (David81 in the chat) Far as united skates goes I would recommend the Thursday night adult skate sessions. They typically are not over busy, so good for people to practice skating. Another good spot to practice locally would be the basketball courts at WW2 or the Tennis courts at Cold Spring.
@kristinc8285

@@RISk8ers the section along Truman, near KFC. I'm not from this area so I have to google these parks you mention. haha. I lived in PVD and am cyclist so I know the RI bike paths very well, but am soooo not ready to go on those with blades. Not yet! ... Good to know about the tennis courts, been trying to figure out some smooth spots like tennis courts for a couple weeks now. ... Gabe is great. I mostly do lessons just so I am not scared to try something new. When I am on my own I talk myself out of things for fear of falling. The lessons are just more to gain confidence in attempting something new, even if just basic.

@@kristinc8285 You should try the Blackstone River Greenway sometime. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYq7mmiPZcSaZ7s This is where the parking is located: maps.app.goo.gl/o2qdYp9uxDEJtcpG7 ^^^ This one is very easy to skate on as long as you only go above 2.5 miles. Once you get to the street intersections thats another story. The video above starts as the street section so would be going from the google maps link I provided and stopping where the video starts. Its really easy for noob skaters even as long as you stagger your feet going over the bridge sections. The Blackstone River Bikeway is near you as well just of Hamlet... maps.app.goo.gl/5VHJCEkmGp6SRRpJA There is a hill just after the soccer fields end. If you want to avoid the hill you could try going from Albion to the bottom of the hill from the other side. maps.app.goo.gl/vr6feqtzRqb141mD8 I have done all the bike paths in Rhode Island and quite a few in Mass. We have actually been going street skating in Boston every saturday the last few weeks as well.

It is showing in detail the changing of the colors of the leaves. This doesn't happen everywhere around the world. Even in some locations where the leaves change colors and fall off the trees, they are not always the same shades as around where I live. The video is just showing the different colors of the leaves before and as they are falling off the trees. The video format itself allows you to spin the camera while you are watching to see the different views you would like to see.
