They pollute the groundwater in the areas they are based at. They sell mixes of used and worn metals which produces the weak metals of today. The metal you see and buy today is not half as strong as the metals of the 70s. People like this love to toss the word Recycling around alot because you have been trained that is a good word. In fact recycling has next to zero benefits in any situation.

There is a lot harder way to earn money from scrap steel but this is not one they explain it like people pay them to take counterweights from forklifts

Open the valve and make sure all of the gas or whatever is in there out of those tanks obviously away from anything to conducts heat and cut it with your mobile share most people take the top off cuz that's brass check it out there's a lot of scrap yards that do it check out the video e h scrap yard in Florida headset with their mobile shears and then it's prepared Steel

what about copper ingots ?
@CuriousEarthMan7 күн бұрын
don't make ingots unless you want LESS money than the copper you had before. If the yard sees what the material is, they'll pay accordingly. When you make an ingot, they have no idea what is actually in it, and it isn't worth assaying, unless you get them regularly and they are over 1000 lbs. Meaning, if you are a known smelter, with an assay, you can sell ingots. Otherwise, you are losing money. Even if they have an XRF machine and shear your ingot into several pieces to test it, they'll knock the price down for the troubles and effort it takes them.I hope that helps!

You have a shear right there that should be able to process both the high pressure vessel and the axles . We only torch solid plate that’s thicker then 1.5 inch and thicker like pump jack counterweights train wheels etc sometimes we have to run a chilling tower and 3 oxy bottles so cut thru the big stuff had some 15 inch solid shaft material that needed downsized
@lukedillon277521 күн бұрын
Truck axles are way to hard on the shear, it can cut them but the cost of the blades/ wear plates welding to be done is not worth it it when a man with a torch can cut them down in minutes.
@woodmanoutdoors541021 күн бұрын
@@lukedillon2775 there not that bad honestly if its shimmed correctly and the operator did his daily torque on the bolts it cuts them right up most axles are stamped steel and the cast iron fronts snap so your not actually cutting thru them
@billknepp196522 күн бұрын
we torch them.every day... but I shear the ones that have had gases that can kill you if inhaled.. I have a load on the ground right now waiting on my genesis to be repaired... as a torchman I have been hurt a few times almost had my lungs burnt.. luckily I had a respirator on that day.. n I hate those things 😂
