So the Hendrix mode is a toogle switch (with position do you prefer and why ?) and there actually a reverb tank on the amp head ?
@kuitaristi300312 күн бұрын
Yes it's a switch at back of the amp. It's cool with ON or OFF but usually i keep it off because i like the base JTM45 tone. @juliendammert748812 күн бұрын
@ Why would you recommande the JTM45 and not the JTM45/100 ? I prefer the cleaner earlier Hendrix tones for that case, and I think the PRS ones are too gainy for what I’m looking for. At a time I was after the older version the PRS HX/DA, but never could find one in Europe at that time.

@@juliendammert7488 Well both are JTM45 other just has more wattage and of course little different tone. Yep, I can hear a difference, and it's closer! A thought though.... to go full hendrix, you'd need to have a second pickguard that has the bridge pickup at the opposite angle too, right? Instead of the treble side being closest to the bridge, you'd want the bass side to be closest to the bridge. Put both methods together (flip each PU, and alter the angle of the bridge PU. The only thing left after those two would be the reverse headstock, which would mainly change the feel of the guitar, not so much the tone.
@kuitaristi300324 күн бұрын
Hi. Yeah if you wanna go fully like Hendrix had everything then you have to get opposite angle pickguard, but i had 2015 or 16 Fender Hendrix strat before and i don't notice big difference to that. It's more that the pickup is flipped because it gives a different type sound then (brighter and tighter). Of course opposite angle makes difference too but it's not big. And yes reverse headstock effects mainly to string tension. I had reverse headstock and opposite angle bridge pickup some years ago and i have some older videos where i play with those like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIKbgamipMSNjLc and this kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHbVaJqVp95raLs

Hi. It sounds okay but i like to use it without master volume because it just sounds better). You have to open master volume a lot to get great sound with it so it's not completely good for lower volume playing if you want natural amp overdrive. If you want a more JTM or Superbass sound from a Superlead, with the least amount of tweaking, just walk over to the amp and plug into the bottom left input instead of top left. The tone will be a little bit quieter, warmer, cleaner
@kuitaristi3003Ай бұрын
Hi. Yeah i use bottom left input and i like it more than top. When channels are linked like i have here and you put little more volume from normal channel than bright then it sounds like JTM, my opinion. @ yeah I had a stock 70 Superbass recently(circuitwise basically a 67 Superlead without a brightcap) and I found I could get most of that tone from my stock 71 1987 with some tweaking. Both amps through either of two 68 straight cabs with Pulsonic t1221’s. I just found it’s easier to get darker, cleaner, less aggressive sounds out of a Lead spec 4 holer than it is to get brighter, gainier, more aggressive sounds out of a Bass spec amp. Nice tone BTW

@ yeah I’m enjoying the bottom left input with my main guitar, a LP Special with P90’s. Straight in, bright Vol on7, all EQ at noon(attenuated-12db) it’s a great low-mid gain old school tone that can cover a lot of late 60’s to mid 70’s sounds. I think it’s even more responsive than the gainier, brighter top input, which is great for more aggressive later 70’s stuff. Hugely versatile amps. No matter what input the rolled down cleans are sensational.
