Who arranged this for Brass? I would love to find it!
Ian Porthouse on principal cornet I think . Peter Roberts on Soprano cornet without doubt !
@Andre2502795 жыл бұрын
No, Principal Cornet is Stuart Lingard!
@reecewardmurray42844 жыл бұрын
I believe the principal cornet was Ian porthouse as I am good pals with his son and he said that Ian done the majority of the recordings on the CD bar shine as the light

@@reecewardmurray4284 Hi mate . Can you find out what year the cd was recorded please ? I'm with you on thinking it's Ian as well , but this would solve the mystery . All the best , Mark .
@reecewardmurray42844 жыл бұрын
@@Mark64W the CD vitae lux itself was recorded Nov 1998. To my knowledge, Ian Porthouse was on the vast majority of the tracks except Shine as the Light- that was Graham McCollough playing top man for that.

Every member of this band has ear damage! Once lost, hearing cannot be restored in humans! Brassbands have to make music, not dB!

almost every good musician has ear damages to a variated extent.. rock or symphony orchestras..

Ist not that loud as you think if you are in the band. as the Person who listens its loud, yes.
@kcitsch21767 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but i strongly believe that most ensembles, even brass bands do quite well at achieving both music and dB!

Filip Fossum I have played in military, brass, blues, jazz funk etc. The band that made the most damage was dance band with over-enthusiatic trumpet players, trying to out-play each other, playing over the heads of the rest of the band

A great (and very clever) piece of music - this has brought back memories of the great fun I had working on it with the first band I conducted (Forest of Dean Brass, West of England, 4th place)

I was fortunate enough to have played on this recording and sat next to the legend that is Catherine Owen...what a privilege!
