By far the best video! Last evening after viewing dozens or Concept C videos, it was easily discovered that you had used 13 Fishing reels many times. I appreciate your no nonsense manner and knowledge via sharing this video. I have several variations of 13 Fishing spinners and bait casters, but I’m most interested in the Concept C series. I’m especially interested in the C2 and just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the video.

How solid has this rod been? I’m looking for a good frogging and flipping stick.
@BassFishingAddictions2 жыл бұрын
Its held up nicely, definitely one of the beefiest rods I've owned,. It'd do good for frogging and flipping. I used mine for creature baits and jigs, and even though its a telephone pole it sent vibrations down the whole rod fairly well.

This or the revo beast X if both are $120 right now
@BassFishingAddictions2 жыл бұрын
If you want something more versatile then get the sx. The beast has a deeper spool and weighs more so its targeted at bigger game. For $120 you can't really go wrong with either but it more so depends on the application.

@@BassFishingAddictions I’m going to be throwing them for bass and stripers in the aqueducts. Medium size swimbait, Shallow/deep diver, cranks, a rigs, rattle traps, etc. Most of the stripers here are 3-15lb. Was thinking about pairing it with the dobyns 795 swimbait rod.

If I understand correctly, you have a 12v trolling motor. You have 2 batteries to double the run time. You should wire the batteries in parallel, so you get double the runtime but do not have to manually switch the switch for the second battery. You can still utilize the switch as a power shut off when storing the boat. I am about to hook up a main power shut off in my boat along with a bus bar for my accessories. I was looking for a good spot to bolt them and the spot you chose is perfect. Thank you for the video and keep up the good work!

True, I'll be coming out with a review video soon showing it "working." Honestly the Bluetooth never worked well. Just using the trolling motor on half speed it would lag behind a solid 100ft or more. Probably why they're already discontinuing it.

Sure it's not your phone? Certain power settings will absolutely disconnect once you lock or minimize an app as a way to conserve power of the device. This could just be user error with your phone.

Shimano and Daiwa don't use a clicking spool tention. Even on their highest end stuff (Steez, Met, Zillion, Chronarch, etc). I don't know where the assosiation with clicking spool tention and quality comes from honestly....
@BassFishingAddictions2 жыл бұрын
You're right not everyone uses click (leaf) springs but a lot of manufacturers do on their more expensive products. A majority of my reels have them, which a majority of them also aren't shimano. I have a steez and zillion sitting on my shelf right now, they both click. Metanium does not... As you go up in price youre assuming the fisherman is more serious and being able to fine tune everything by a click versus guessing how much they turned the dial is the reason for using clicking components. It also helps the dial stay put. Instead of just the pressure against the o-ring, it has to also turn hard enough to compress the leaf spring and move it to the next notch. Thats a big reason why star drags have them, to help them stay put. It serves more purpose than being just an audible noise. No clue why shimanos dont have them, perhaps they want to do their own thing, perhaps its to save money.. who knows. Everyone will always buy shimano no matter what they do. All of the flagship equipment that I specifically own and isn't shimano has the click springs inside of them (Quantum, Daiwa, 13 Fishing, Abu Garcia). Everyone has opinions but mine is if you're making reels and chose to omit a $2 part for whatever reason, a part that actually serves a purpose other than to make noise, then they didn't care enough when constructing it. That's how I judge how quality something is... because a majority of higher end reels from a lot of manufacturers use them and it wouldn't affect profits that much to add a part that costs probably cents when bought in bulk. Unless its a cheap reel there is really no reason to not include it.

@@BassFishingAddictions first you cut a motor wire not even knowing if it was 1 or more wires inside. Then didn't have the right tools on hand to fix. Then hooked up all the positives to the battery which defeats the reason for the battery selector. Face it you have no idea what you are doing
@BassFishingAddictions3 жыл бұрын
@@Lefishn The motor wire was attached by one single lug, wouldn't matter if there was multiple wires inside because they're all rigged up... again.. by one single lug.. and it needed to be redone. What tools didn't I have on hand? Its been awhile since I posted but I suppose unlike you it wasn't a project that needed to be completed within a day. Also, it doesn't matter if I connected everything to the positive terminal on the battery instead of the switch. I ran the negative wire to it because it was easier. You simply have to disconnect power to either the positive or negative side of the battery and nothing will work because the circuit has been broken... So based upon your answer it seems like you are actually in fact the one who does not know what you are talking about, thanks for the good laugh though.
