Question? This is a direct quote from the Mercedes “Legal Notice” on their website pertaining to the Mercedes factory recommended MB229.52 oil. “The information provided and the statements made on these pages do not constitute any representation or warranty, either express or implied. In particular such information is not an implied promise or guarantee in respect of quality, marketability, fitness for any particular purpose. Mercedes-Benz AG will not participate in a dispute settlement proceeding in front of a consumer arbitration board according to the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act.” It sounds like Mercedes doesn't really stand behind their "recommended" BlueTec oil. I also thought the oil was supposed to be synthetic oil. Prior to Mercedes BlueTec diesel fraud AEM recall, the oil bottle said it was "synthetic oil". Now there's no mention of "synthetic oil". What happened? If you read the Safety Data Sheet Mercedes publishes for OSHA compliance, Mercedes says their MB229.52 & MB229.51 oil is "highly refined Mineral oil". This is NOT synthetic oil. In fact, "highly refined Mineral oil" is the lowest quality possible in the API oil categories. Mercedes MB229.52 oil only meets the minimum EPA's NOACK Volatility high temperature stability requirements. Mercedes says B20 biodiesel will cause sever engine damage. Mercedes also says they will NOT warranty engine's damaged by B20 biodiesel. I don't see any mention that MB229.52 oil is approved for B20 biodiesel? Can I use MB229.52 oil with B20 biodiesel? Can you explain exactly what causes the engine damage? The BlueTec Owner's Manual warns the oil level may increase above the maximum level. How does the oil level go up? Mercedes also says the engine may use a quart of oil every 600 miles. How can this be normal? What causes some BlueTec diesels to add oil and others use a quart every 600 miles? Mercedes says it's safe to drive 20,000 miles between oil changes. Are you sure? I don't understand how MB229.52 is considered the right oil for a BlueTec diesel? Mercedes legal and warranty statements contradicts their advertising. Which is true?

I like to put a thin coat of vaseline on gaskets when assembling. Place the gasket on the water pump, taking note of the teeth of the gasket going into the little grooves in the metal pump. torque to 7 ft lbs. or 84 inch pounds. the small black plastic 'box' is called the intake resonator. By the way, oil was leaking past this gasket down onto my alternator, which I have to buy from autozone $568.

Great video quick question tho did you install the transmission dipstick yourself?
@rw70519 ай бұрын
I think the pre2013 model had a dipstick. I padi teh dealer $160 to check and service the transmission. I bought the plastic tool for $7 on ebay and pump the fluid in myself now. You can pump in as much as you want, and the fluid overflows and drains back out. that's how you know it is serviced.

You can buy the oring but in a rebuild kit RKX has it a bit expensive but has the O-ring.

Nice video on this problem. I have a quick question. Did this fix the air leak or did what did you find out after this install that there was another problem?
@razaycanada45012 жыл бұрын
before changing the air control valve, when I turn the engine off I lost all the air from the air tank in 2 to 3 hours, but after changing the air controller valve I lost all the air again from the air tank in 3 days, its mean still very small leak is somewhere, then I change all the suspension airbag , after that I have no air leak problem, but my air controller valve was also leaking , that's why I start with air controller valve and it's cheaper than suspension airbag when it's not sure where is the exact problem better start with cheaper side
