I agree with the collar thing, it would look better if it stood up like Arc’teryx. If decathlon put a hood string adjustment to tighten it up, that would make it stand up, and it might then dominate the lightweight jacket market.

Im from Ireland and i bought one of these jackets in 2021 and its my go to colder weather jacket. I have a few high end expensive down jackets but this does me most of the year. I really like it and im going to buy a new one in a different colour. Only downside is that is has jumped up 40% in price in three years. I paid €49 for my original and it now retails at €69.

Hey! I'm not sure about the synthetic down version - I haven't been able to test that one out yet. But I've read that synthetic insulation handles water/moisture better, and dries faster than the regular down. However, the regular down is better at keeping you warm, is more lightweight, and performs better in warmer/cooler temperatures!

Hey bro! I'd say it would be good for a light-medium workout session. It's stretchy af and comfortable. If I'm going to do a cardio session or sweat profusely during my workout, I'd prefer a thinner shirt than this one. It has a bit of "weight" to it, but not in a bad way.

They actually do use a high quality zipper. If you look carefully, you can see that it's YKK brand. I think what you might not like is the tiny size of the zipper which makes it somewhat difficult to utilize? It does help keep the jacket as light as possible though.

I didn't even realize the zipper was YKK! Yeah, not sure why it just wasn't working as smoothly for me. Could be the small size of the zipper indeed 🤷🏽♂️

just saw your review, and I can confirm this after 4 years of wear, that this down jacket leaks feathers like no tomorrow. @journeyanywear Жыл бұрын
When I've used this in rain, I've never experienced rain going through the the roll top and into the main compartment of the bag. However, for the small quick access pocket at the top - this unfortunately has succumbed a couple times to leaking some water/moisture when in the rain for a long time. If you're in the rain for a short period of time, it should be fine though. Note: The bag in this video is an original PRVKE - not sure if this issue has been fixed in the new one!

Wool is a natural fiber and as with all-natural wool/ fur/hair (same thing) have a temperature range from summer to winter temps. Cool in summer, warm in winter. Wash with a neutral soap. Squeeze the water out. Don't wring or you may felt the wool. lay the garment on a towel and roll the towel tightly and squeeze. . At this point the garment will be slightly damp to the tuch and wear able. It will dry on your body in a few minutes. After about 5 washing give the garment a lanolin bath to soften the wool and make it more water resistant, which will decrease drying time and increase evaporation rate. All wool is antimicrobial and antibacterial. That is why they don't smell. You can find lanolin instruction on You tube

You can wear a Down Jacket as part of your layer system under another coat in extreme weather. I use down jackets like they are Jumpers .... I have about 8 - 10 of them ... and my first hooded down Jacket [brand new with tags] only cost me £15 including post, from Ireland. I actually bought a decathlon hooded down jacket just a few moments ago ... seriously ... for only £18 inc post .... and the tag on it says its full down [no mention of feathers] so I'm guessing it's probably not the forclaz trek 100 [it says : Down Jacket Full Down Grey ... on the label]. It is the same design, but without the FORCLAZ logo on the left arm. I'm an XL so I bought a 3XL, and it should arrive in 3 days. PS: I plan on cutting up most of the Down Jackets I own to make other things ... the cheapest one I've bought cost £5 inc post ... and once, I bought an XL down gilet [BNWT] for £14 from Ireland ... but got sent a BNWT 2XL 400 fill down Regatta Jacket instead [the tag on that one said £250]. Edit : I just noticed in a photo that it has a "Quechua" logo on the seam by the right pocket ... the Decathlon label is on the inside.

4:08 Now it all makes sense as to why you Have very little knowledge about down jackets. The only 2 down jackets you own are cheaper crappy ones. There is a reason other jackets cost more. It’s because they are higher quality, have higher quality down and more of it inside the jacket.
