Thank you for the advice in this video, it is always encouraging to see those who have attained success reach out to those striving for it. I recently applied and am curious if my industry is of interest to YC. I'm building efficiency software to reduce water waste in treatment plants. I know YC focuses on tech but does the sector where the tech is used influence their decision?

Oh right I completely forgot to share about this moment. I’m a bear, so I was working on June in the early morning. My cofounder and I would meet 3 times a week at the Starbucks in front of the office. We would also hack together in some evenings and Saturdays, but it was more marginal.

Basically the same advice, the maker agenda works if you’re non technical. You’re not writing code but interviewing customers, working on your go to market, etc.

Hey this is kinda a long shot but I’m desperately seeking some advice. I’m conflicted, I have what I believe to be a great idea for a startup that could potentially help many lives.
