Thank you for the advice in this video, it is always encouraging to see those who have attained success reach out to those striving for it. I recently applied and am curious if my industry is of interest to YC. I'm building efficiency software to reduce water waste in treatment plants. I know YC focuses on tech but does the sector where the tech is used influence their decision?

if you're building something ambitious and tech-enabled I don't think the industry matters that much!

With AI and ease of product replication, I think connecting with your audience as a founder is crucial. Otherwise, they will always leave you for a "cheaper" option.

Just want to say well done on the quality of this video and channel Enzo! Big fans of Attio over here, excited to do a proper writeup on them one of these days. The CRM space is so saturated and there are few that are standing out by going back to first principles and simplicity. Motivated for where Attio is headed. Well done on this interview and excited for your channel, just subscribed!

thank you! Attio is amazing, really I'm just the messenger here. Though I'm putting a lot of love into this channel so super happy people notice the amount of work that goes there 💜 ps. your channels rocks!

Was this the company that got caught red-handed stealing everyone's ranking content on Google, bragged about it on Twitter, then Google came down hard on them?

Long time user of Causal (Q2-3 2020) here, actually I think I might be the first consultant to use Causal - they used to send me leads to close and onboard before they had a team in-house! Great to see this interview, the Causal team is fantastic, the product is incredible and their success story an inspiration! Thanks for showcasing them :D

Awesome insights! Did you go through a time where you were working on June + a full time job? If so, what did your schedule look like back time? 🤩
@enzoavigo4 ай бұрын
Oh right I completely forgot to share about this moment. I’m a bear, so I was working on June in the early morning. My cofounder and I would meet 3 times a week at the Starbucks in front of the office. We would also hack together in some evenings and Saturdays, but it was more marginal.

Any advice for currently none technical founders ?
@enzoavigo4 ай бұрын
Basically the same advice, the maker agenda works if you’re non technical. You’re not writing code but interviewing customers, working on your go to market, etc.

Hey this is kinda a long shot but I’m desperately seeking some advice. I’m conflicted, I have what I believe to be a great idea for a startup that could potentially help many lives. My dilemma is I’m just getting into/ understanding the basics of simple programming and I’ve come to realize the challenging task at hand when paired with getting my Business plan and other business functions sorted. at my 9 to5 I’ve been saving 50% of my money for my dream car(now for my business) and was wondering if you believe it would be wiser to take that money to hire a dev to help produce my vision of my MVP/demo or If that money would be better spent on personal development in the space With much gratitude- Noah
