I can't believe I watched a podcast with Rre Mogasha on it, his Facebook posts have always been interesting. I am part of the people that see him running ALL THE TIME😂 even during the day . I look forward to meeting him in person one day to have a conversation and to also find out about a certain blue vehicle that was in his possession 😀

Brilliant minds are ignored as they are seen to be a threat to the establishment. We would rather outsource our problem solving to expatriate consultants

Is Africa ready for innovation? Is the question on the video. By asking this question you are implicitly saying whether Africans are ready to perceive, that is to see, to hear and to feel. Because to innovate is to imagine and to imagine you can only do so starting from what is. Innovation is to exceed what is. Since perception and exceeding are content of innovation and since to perceive you must be somewhere, the space and at a certain moment, the time, the environment is then content of innovation. To innovate is to question what is. To innovate is to place what is in a different perspective. Innovation requires critical thinking. This is why the possibility to think freely and in unusual ways, free associations and the work of the unconscious are ways through which ideas flow in the framework of innovation. In this perspective, when people are treated with contempt, when people must be afraid, when can't express themselves. The psychological defense mechanism of repression occurs, energies are repressed and paralyzed. As a result, we create people who doubt and doubt themselves. We must free up energies in Africa, We must value the African being through respect to make him realize that he can. (potestas).

Very interesting talk. Being from Mali (West Africa) i can confidently say that the international reputation of Botswana (Stability and consistency) places it on the path to be a great hub for innovation and a driver for change. Botswana should take that chance and morph it into something even greater. In these times of turbulence across the continent, it wouldn't take much to be the hotspot for tech startups and innovators in Africa. Keep moving forward!

That's a vulnerability we have in the Southern part of Africa, Botswana and Namibia highly dependent in the mining sector and my country(Angola) highly Oil and Gas dependent. We should look into alternative ways to make our economy more independent from our natural resources.

Hi Mr Kgengwenyane, I realy loved this edition. Where can I find Motheo, I have a child who has learning challenges and only does well in a personalised learning enviroment, and is being homeschooled by my mother who is a passionate former primary school teacher, just that shes a bit old school she needs to tap on the modernized styles because she wants to assist more students, shes running a small centre.Kindly share his details maybe she can tap one or two from the young man.

When the elderly sow doubt in the youth, they hinder their own progress. Botswana's leaders struggle to respond to new ideas due to their lack of innovation and creativity. I appreciate how this informed gentleman compares this to a full cup that cannot hold anything new; it's a profound analogy that demonstrates the young man's wisdom, very insightful!
