Loved this when I got a PC back in 1997 playing in DOS I replayed it with the Force Engine Mod recently and loved it all again.

It's actually crazy that the plot of "that someday this child will change the future of both worlds" would only take form 18 years later in Resurrections. It's like a small teaser for a plot almost 20 years later ^^

One of my favorite scenes of Reloaded is actually the "captains meeting". I always thought they looked so cool and the 1st time I saw them I was like wow ... There are a lot of rebels/allies now compare to the 1st film. And I've always wished to see them in action. How awesome it would have been to have a battle scene between cops/Swat VS red pills with matrix powers. And just like Axel, we put so much effort to save them in the game and they also just die in the movie and even worse ... Off-screen. Especially Ballard, who had a nice fight scene with Seraph It took me a long time and internet researchs to find out they were all who perished during the EMP tactics that failed because of Bane. And the thing is they even gave the effort to name all of them and even their ships have differents designs (that you can't see in the movies but on the wiki). I think I would have prefered see them perish and sacrifice their lives during the final battle at Zion (would have gave them even more screen time and importance). It actually feels like the extented lore universe and characters in Star Wars : You can see some characters just a few seconds in the movies or even die easily but those can have their own comic book or video-game

Weirdly enough, this is a game I keep coming back to pretty much every year or so. It's glitchy, broken in places, but I still enjoy it. A great way to relax and just mindlessly punch people in the evening. I initially played it on PC, but now I switched to the PS2 version. It looks like the PC version is the least polished of all. Quite literally, it has missing dialogues and scripts during gameplay, and the folder is filled with outdated files and backup copies of assets they forgot to remove before shipping. On the plus side, though, you can replace character models on PC and play as Neo (sort of). Great series and commentary!

Axel is played by leigh whannell who was in saw (2004) and the insidious franchise. And you can see him very briefly in matrix reloaded : At the end, he's the one screaming "In coming !" before falling from his ship's bridge to his death. And honestly, that was such bittersweet for me as a kid while playing as Niobe and ghost and gone through all of this hard work for saving him at the airport just for him to die like this :(

At 38:00 Yes it's the same agent who fought Morpheus on the truck ;) It's agent Johnson played by Daniel Bernarht (who also fights Keanu Reeves in Jonn Wick), the other two are Jackson and Thompson In the 1st movie they all 3 have generic names (Smith, Jones and Brown) and in the second one (Reloaded) they are purposefully have "son" at the end for the symbolic they are the second generation of agents : "Upgrades" ^^ You can even witness the fact they are taller and buffer than the 3 agents from the 1st matrix

Ur an underrated creator and extremely funny as a matrix fanboy it's good to see an actually decent commentary on this game I miss it so much and it had a very strong place in my heart as does the matrix franchise when you finish up with the full game maybe try the hacking keep up ur vids and maybe play path of neo at some point too 😊

Bought this on the Gamecube and the controls were a bit haywire so I got it on xbox and ps2 to try out the other versions.

47:00 Yes it is agent Johnson (Daniel Bernhardt). Did you know he was supposed to appear in matrix resurrections (2021) ? During the Merovingian fight : He was supposed to fight Morpheus (with a flashback of the truck) but this scene was cut. Only the people who saw the screet test have been able tho see those scenes
