Gorgeous! I heard you can use a drop of glue and dip a latex makeup sponge and dab in the glue and then spread lightly on vellum. I tried it and it works! Give it a try.

this didn't help me at all. I preferred knowing the measurements in inches. To start out saying this can be confusing immediately lost my interest. What looked simple, was not.
@drunkdogcreative

I’m sorry you found that difficult. I did explain in the beginning of the video that this would be in metrics. I live in Australia. Often I give both the metrics and the imperial in my tutorials and the imperial can usually be found on the blog post on Drunkdogcreative.com . However, in this case, the original design was done in imperial (inches) on JanB’s website. I explained that, and explained why I wouldn’t plagiarise someone else’s work. If you need the original inches, you can go to her blog and watch her video. I always give credit where credit is due and I won’t copy other people’s work. The link to her blog is in the description of this video.

Please put Measurements in to inches. Please, I would love to do this card, but I need inches, not mm. Thank you 😊
@drunkdogcreative
@drunkdogcreative 9 ай бұрын
If you go to the blog post, the inches are given there. Here’s the thing… American cards are usually a size they call A2. Australian cards are something they call A6 (which is different to a USA A6) because our papers are different sizes (8.5x11” for Americans, 297x210mm for Australians). Because the actual card sizes are different, just given you the equivalent inches for the mm in the video will give you the wrong size card for America. I demonstrate the technique on video. On the blog post, you can find the cut plan for American card sizes, in inches, and for UK/Australian/Canadian card sizes in mm. So, the good news is, what you need is already there for you! Just go to the blog post… drunkdogcreative.com - go to papercraft - you’ll find all the papercraft tutorial posts there. If you specifically want the one for the accordion fold card, it’s in the Christmas in July Jackpot (3 card designs) post at drunkdogcreative.com/2023/07/22/christmas-in-july-jackpot/

I owe you an apology. there IS an error in the instructions on the blog and the pdf. I had forgotten to include the Imperial measurements for the diagonal fold. It has been corrected now. If you go back to the blog the correct measurement for marking the fold line is now there in inches. The pdf you can download has also been corrected. My deepest apologies.

@drunkdogcreative

No worries! (As we say in Australia). Hop over to the blog post at drunkdogcreative.com/2023/08/05/swivel-fun-fold-card/. The instructions there are in Imperial (inches) AND metrics (millimetres). There is also a downloadable pdf in both measurements available for free on that post too. Australian (and UK) cards are based on A4 size paper which is different to US Letter paper so the basic card sizes are different. Therefore, just translating mm to inches won’t work and will definitely be confusing. I grew up in the USA so I’ve included instructions in Imperial measures for an A2 card (the basic US size) as well as Metrics for A6 cards (which is very different to A6 in the USA and different to A2). And now I’ve probably confused you even more! Simple answer… if you go to the blog post, the imperial measurements will make more sense to you with the size paper you use in America. :)

Thank you so much! And yes, the answer to dachshund problems is usually ‘get more dachshunds’. They are pack animals and need company. Love my dogs so much. One is an adoption, one is a rescue, and the puppy is a whole other story. Ha. I grew up in CA too! And wirehairs are pretty rare in Australia! Thanks so much for your kind comments. Happy crafting!

I like different cards. I just saw your video and figured I'd watch it. Liked it,subscribed and saving it so I can do this later. Have to go to blog to get the US measurements, cause I dont do metric. Can't figure out the conversions. Wish you could give both measurements when doing video. Then can write it down when watching. Just an idea. 😁🤔 Thanks for Sharing.
@drunkdogcreative
@drunkdogcreative Жыл бұрын
I appreciate this feedback. The reason the conversion doesn’t work is that Australia/UK/etc have a different paper size to the USA which means our standard card sizes are different a US A2 card is different to an Australian A2 card. So you can’t just convert from between inches and millimetres. You have to change the entire base size too. So it’s also too confusing to give both on the video as the card I’m demonstrating is a different size altogether to the US one. But I do provide the measurements on the blog and in the free downloadable pdf on the blog. The video is to show you how to put it together and to give some tips for alignment, etc. But I will consider what you’ve said and see if I can work out how to do that for future videos. Thank you.
